I've been doing this in conjunction with HM primals (Ifrit/Garuda/Moogle) since lvl 75+ and it seems to work ok. I'm at 79 BSM now and the Militia stuff just gives me only 0.02 skill so it's hardly worth it anymore. I'd like to get to 85-ish if possible before starting on bells as they are expensive and have a really low success rate X_X
Just wondering what the average yield is for Artisan's Frypans (or other Artisan's weapons) for Mastercraft materia.
I've been pounding tomato sauce for Artisan's spectacles, but the Mastercraft yield is pretty low. I know you can get up to 3 mastercraft from the frypan, but how oten do the mastercraft fall?
I've got a reliable macro that gives me about 80-90% HQ sauce from NQ tomatoes, so my average cost is about 3k per sauce. That's ~35k per spectacle, ~175k per Frypan (factoring in NQ).
Wondering if it's worth it to level up armorer? Would I get a better overall Mastercraft materia yield from Frypans than from spectacles?
I think I'm 76 and the PvP i70 Gladiator Weapons are giving me 0.25-0.35 per desynth. I'd be 80 by now if it weren't for the fact that 75% means 3 out of 12 using SE math.I've been doing this in conjunction with HM primals (Ifrit/Garuda/Moogle) since lvl 75+ and it seems to work ok. Fair enough, i,ll probably end up doing both, since I also am on nexus stage. Thanks! I am sitting on enough Artisan weapons that I can't pass BSM desynth if I want to finish Supra tools, and consider Artisan legs/feets.

God, sometimes I could just smash my Gamepad into the TV.Sat there for an entire day and crafted 200 items in HQ to get 20 iLevel 70 hats. Thousand of shards lost and a good portion of Gil and lots of Harvesting on my own for the materials included as well. I destroyed SIX out of the 20 hats with a 95% Chance to succeed and from the 14 I could desynth, I got ONE Field III Demimateria. Not a single Master Demimateria. Screw the RNG! Others may get 6 Master Demimateria out of 20, I know but depending on RNGesus really sucks when it is about so time consumptive items like the ones you need for the Master Demis.
This is exactly why I opted for getting gsm to 100 to be 100% sure to never break any Artisan spectacles. The cost/time needed to make one pair is too high imo to risk a fail. As for the RNG I've gone 0/27 on MC + 1/27 FC3 to 5/9 MC + 3/9 FC3. Just pure shitty luck <.<God, sometimes I could just smash my Gamepad into the TV.Sat there for an entire day and crafted 200 items in HQ to get 20 iLevel 70 hats. My LTW has a desynth skill of around 72 and cannot desynth this gear with any sort of viable percentage. How is it feasible to level from 60-80? Is this assuming that you are going to fail a significant number of times but the overall gain is worth it?NOTE: This guide is still not updated for 2.4. There's too much we just don't know yet, so I'm waiting before overhauling it. Here are a few things I've discovered or heard:[list][*]WVR and LTW can now be easily leveled from ~60 to ~80 by purchasing Bridesmaid's and Best Man's items from a vendor in Ul'dah (just across from the aetheryte). They are i70 and cost 6k for the LTW and 12k for the WVR. This is also the new best way in the game to get FCIIIs. The LTW items can give Hard Hippogryph Leather and the WVR items can give Vanya Silk, making those both really easy to get cheaply now.
I believe it's because of how cheap/convenient it is to buy something from an NPC and desynth it for skill and as a bonus... the chance at some expensive FC3 which SHOULD offset your cost a bit![]()
