Hmm maybe they readjusted the takitaro? I can't prove or disprove this since I'm well beyond the 70's but if what you're saying is true that would suggest that they did something to the desynth levels for it.

Takitaro is still listed as an r70 fish, are you sure that's what gave you 0.01 at 76 dSkill? It should give ~0.30. An r55 fish would give you ~0.01, like Giant Catfish or Mahi Mahi. In addition to Takitaro, try Megalodons from the MB - they're also r70 and also obtained often from minion-seeking FSH ventures. There's also Aetherlouse and Worm of Nym - I don't know how much they're up for on your server, but they're easily obtainable by minion-seeking FSH ventures, and only useful for Zodiac, which most people either have or don't care about at this point.

Yeah, I'm sure about the 0.01 point. I was catching about 3 Takitaro in hope I can level up my desyn skill from 76.66 to at least 77. But when I desyn the first fish, the number appear on the log really freaked me out. D: I tried for the 2nd and the 3rd fish, they all brought the same result.

Maybe only green fishs are the only option, but to fish them is another thing.

Well it's interesting but definitely not related to Kog985's problem about getting lower skill. The fish listed above are mostly (if not all) from the new areas.

I honestly have no idea why you'd get lower skill when others have reported getting the correct amount from the same fish... I'd need to find someone else with a CUL Desynth in the right area to test? Maybe the fish's ilvl and rlvl are totally different?

So, what changed? Was there any change to rlvl? Is there anything in the guide that is now inaccurate and needs to be updated? I think those are all 60* fish, which were r180. Were they supposed to be r160 or something?

Those 60* fish keep being r180, with same 50% sucess at max 180 desynth. It seems were reduced the probability to get gold from them. Mostly now just fine sand and grade6 dark matter.

For BSM I'd recommend Hardsilver Texture Hammer over the Titanium Scythe. Components: 2 hardsilver nuggets, 1 dark chestnut lumber, 1 star ruby (can use ventures exclusively). I used this until 150.
For ARM Hardsilver Alembic are a pretty easy craftable replacement for the 120-135 bracket.

Don't know if anyone else has mentioned it but culinarians can also desynth NPC bought i70 aged decanters from silver bazaar at 3k gil each. I think they only give around 0.02 at around cul desynth lvl 75+ though so probably not worth it. I read it is prob worth when hit cul desynth lvl 90 start desynthing icepicks from CWH.
