    Just to note on GSM improvement.
    I got 60-72 desynthesing Electrum needles & Tortoiseshell Armillae.
    The point was to get the get enough demimateria to get all the 7 new master crafter books and an extra 30 fieldcraft demimateria to craft 3 new jewelry pieces.
    So I focused on having 65 Fieldcraft I and 35 Battlecraft I

    Just a bit cheaper before going to Aetheryte Rings desynths

    Great guide thanks! Just a tip for anyone doing LTW ... At 50 you can start desynthing Legionary Visors which drop from Garlean Mobs... there was a tonne of em for cheap on my server and I bought loads of em before people caught on and bumped up the price

If instead it takes 1x Darksteel Nugget, 1x Rose Gold Nugget, and 1x Spruce Plywood, you can only ever get a single one of these back, and only 1x of it. This means that items with fewer types of materials are generally cheaper to use when leveling than items with many types of materials.
    Just wanted to point out (while I have no SS for proof, only my word), I actually managed to get back the Sarnga Limb from desynthesizing a Sarnga. Perhaps the chances are incredibly low and rng gods smiled upon me? It was just a test i70 desynth I was trying as I continue to level up, I have desynth'd two more Sarngas unable to reproduce the result, but I have gotten one.

Hope this helps and I'll post a screenshot the next time I do it.
    While the ponds are not a bad idea, last I checked, Garden Ponds cost twice as much to make as Carbuncle Chronometers, and they should drop the exact same items. Of course, Tawny Latex (Terminus Putty) is a little expensive on my server (7k each, where the emery is only 10k each)...

    ------

    Also, OP updated with some extra info. I now recommend leveling GSM to 75 using Aetheryte Rings, and then switching to quad-melded Gold Spectacles (I did the math, and four melds is best). You will only have a 45% chance to start, but at least on my server, succeeding the melded i90 desynth is cheaper than making 10x HQ Spicy Tomato Relish and succeeding the i70 desynth. Also, you get maybe 0.1-0.2 exp from the Artisan's Spectacles. You get 0.5.-0.65 from the Gold Spectacles.

    Before you hit 100 skill (somewhere in the 90s), you will have a 100% chance to desynth the Artisan's Spectacles. I'd wait until then to start grinding out the demimateria from them.

    Could someone help me out real quick? I just need some datapoints to finalize the desynth chance formula, which will help me determine the cheapest desynths at various skill levels for maximum experience gain. I need random datapoints of desynth success chances with skill levels 25-65 for any ilvl item. Please give me the item name and not just the ilvl, because I'm fairly sure it goes off crafting level, not item level or equip level (but I'm not certain yet).

    So far, at the high levels, I've noticed that if your desynth chance is 15-28.5 or 70-98.5 for a given clevel, increasing your desynth skill by 1 point increases your chances by 1.5%. If your desynth chance is in the 30-68 range for a given clevel, increasing your desynth skill by 1 point increases your chances by 2%. Same thing for going down in clevel. If you have 77.5% chance at i70, you'll have a 70% chance at i75, a 92.5% chance at i60, and a 40% chance at i90.

    My current formula is:
    (DesynthSkill + 30 - CraftLevel) = dScore
    If dScore < 0, success = 0%
    If dScore < 20, success = (dScore*1.5)%
    If dScore < 40, success = (30 + (dScore-20)*2)%
    If dScore < 60, success = (70 + (dScore-40)*1.5)%
    If dScore >= 60, success = 100%

    This seems to work at high levels, but I know low levels use a different formula that can give values like 37.8, which this formula can't do.

    Here is the data I collected while leveling desynthesis on alchemist, I think it might help you refine your formula

    Just asking, if I only have 50% breaking a garuda weapon, do i have the chance to get the demimateria? Or I need to reach until certain amount of percentage to able to get demimateria? Because I successfully break around 5 or 6 but never get 1 yet.

    The data I've seen from various sources appears to indicate that skill level has no effect on yields. There are people reporting a massive drop in demimateria yields with higher skill, and others reporting massive gains with higher skill. Looking over all of the data I've seen, and using my own experiences to back them up, I strongly believe that your skill has no bearing on what you get.

    Also, with a 60% chance to desynth Ifrit Blades, I successfully desynthed two of them. The second gave me 3x Demimateria of the Inferno.

    The data I've seen suggests that the drop rate for Demimateria is close to 10%. However, the data (which is admittedly a very small sample size) also suggests that items that can give multiple demimateria can also give fewer demimateria with an equal chance. So, theoretically, if Ifrit Blades can drop 3x Demimateria of the Inferno, they can also drop 2x Inferno and 1x Inferno, all with 10% drop rates, for an expected yield of 0.9 demimateria per desynth. But, I don't really have the evidence to back this up. I need more data...

    But, if this is right (which it likely isn't), it would make Artisan/Forager tools better than the hats, since for Artisan's, it's 5x the cost for 9x the chance of mastercraft demimateria (since they can give up to 3x at once), and for Forager's, it's 2x the cost for 9x the chance of mastercraft demimateria. Need moar data!

    EDIT: With your help, I got it! Here's the formula in Google formula format (where $A2 = desynth skill level, and B$1 = craft level):

    =min(IF(($A2+30-B$1)<0,0,IF(($A2+30-B$1)<20,(0.15*(19-min(ceiling(B$1/5),9)))*($A2+30-B$1),IF(($A2+30-B$1)<40,3*(19-min(ceiling(B$1/5),9))+(0.2*(19-min(ceiling(B$1/5),9))*(($A2+30-B$1)-20)),IF(($A2+30-B$1)<60,7*(19-min(ceiling(B$1/5),9))+(0.15*(19-min(ceiling(B$1/5),9))*(($A2+30-B$1)-40)),100)))),100)

    In simpler terms:

    Code:
    {dScore} ::= {DesynthSkill} + 30 - {RecipeLevel}
    {W} ::= (19-min(ceiling({RecipeLevel}/5),9))

    (Essentially, for {RecipeLevel}s 1-5, {W}=18. Every five {RecipeLevel}s, {W} drops by 1, to a minimum of {W}=10 at {RecipeLevel} 41)

    min([{dScore} <=0 = 0
         {dScore} <20 = (0.15*{W})*{dScore}
         {dScore} <40 = 3*{W}+(0.20*{W}*({dScore}-20))
         {dScore} <60 = 7*{W}+(0.15*{W}*({dScore}-40))
         {dScore}>=60 = 100],100)
    Now I just need the materia and/or exp yields...
