Desynthesis Endgame Guide

I was expecting "Demicrystal" to be a mat acquired through high-level desynth, but....

According to the patch notes：
Demicrystal: Aetherial residue seeped forth from spiritbound weapons.

Does it mean we need to convert a spirit bound weapon? What weapon could it be?

It's just wording. You don't actually spiritbond the weapons to convert them into the Demicrystal. It's basically the same case with the Mastercraft Demimateria, it mentions "Spiritbond" in its flavor text, but does not actually require it as a mechanic, so it's just another desynth product.

I hope this IS true, because I'm sure many of us have spent quite a lot time upgrading our desynths. I wonder though, if this "Demicrystal" is only available from weapon desynth...

If it's from weapon desynth it only gives us a couple options. We have some new "weapons" can be desynthed, although most are quite a high hurdle.

I'm guessing the bold ones will be the only option for most people. I'll be trying them on the first day in, so I'll report the results here.
