So, yeah, very low requirements to catch, and not a bad catch rate for an i70 fish.

Muh, it took around 15 combined hours for me to get one sawfish, only including the times its window was actually valid (clear/fair weather, daytime). If my sharks were any indication, he is probably like 2% chance off the wahoo mooch. In 3 hours of combined fishing I had 3 Frilled Sharks bite (well, 2 got away), so who knows. Just because I have the gear now to 100% Sawfish doesn't mean the required RNG is any easier, so not sure whether you can use that as a basis for saying it shouldn't drop mastercraft.

After all, Artisan gear isn't the highest level gear you can desynth, yet it's the only gear we can desynth into mastercraft that we know of. Anyway, all I'm saying, is that where desynthing and mastercraft is concerned, you probably shouldn't use ilvl as a sole metric.

For armorer, Wolf Scale Fingers is the best i55 option. The only other i55 that doesn't use 2 ds nuggets or 1 plate are the blacksmith boots and it's a lot better to get a battlecraft II than a fieldcraft II. At least for now.

Edit: All jobs should probably take a look thru their pvp section as well, possibly some good ones there.

Rose Gold Clasps feel similar to Aetheryte Rings since on a success you can get back the most expensive material in the craft -- a Rose Gold Ingot. You can also get Fieldcraft Demimateria IIIs from these. Required mats to craft are 1 Wind Cluster, 1 Fire Cluster, 1 Rose Gold ingot, 2 Darksteel Nuggets. As someone mentioned above, Astrolabe Clinometers should get similar results -- Radiant Astral Eyes instead of Rose Gold Ingots and Aqueous Whetstones might be cheaper on your server than the Peacock Ore.

considering u can craft enough token items in just over an hour to get an artisans tool i don't have a problem at all with Sawfish being a source for mastercraft. From my own experience and what I've heard the tools always give mastercraft x3 when desynthed (2/2 personally), making it far and away the most reliable method of acquiring mastercraft demis

Also desynthed 20 + 2 carbuncle chronometers.., mainly for fieldcraft IIIs and only got 1 from the 20 and one double from one of the other 2 I crafted from returned mats..

So, 22 successful desynths and you got 3 FC IIIs? That's not too far outside my expectations. Out of 39 successful desynths on my part, I've gotten 8 FC IIIs. With my server's prices for Emery (15k), that's only 50k per attempt. With my numbers, that's 250k per FC III, and with yours, 367k per FC III. In contrast, my data suggests the drop rate on FC IIIs on Artisan's Spectacles to be about 14% (sample size: 100), and the mats for Artisan's Spectacles run at 80k per Spectacles (the HQ Dzemael Tomatoes alone cost 5k each). That means that, using Artisan's Spectacles, it costs about 575k per FC III, which is more than double the price with my numbers and 50% more with yours.

Btw, combining our findings, I get an 18% drop rate, which gives a cost on my server of 278k per FC III, which is still less than half the cost of FC IIIs using Artisan's Spectacles.

But, Spectacles can get you Mastercraft and Rose Gold Ingots, and prices vary per server, of course. So, choice is yours, but I'm sticking with my cute ticking things unless the price of Emery shoots up again.

...and why not? You got 8/40...20%, they got 3/18....16.7%. Not exactly a large discrepancy there.

Because Artisan Spectacles are considered i70 and the 3 star furnitures are considered i90

There should be higher yield rate for i90 stuff, otherwise, whats the point?
