				Btw, can anyone tell me your success rates on the Diadem loot? My chances with the 150 stuff were always 100% at 180 dSkill so I can't get data there, and I haven't actually gotten an i210 item I could desynth yet (I don't really run stuff). But, I checked my desynth chance on an i180 LTW-desynthable chestpiece from the Diadem that I happened to have, and it was 75.00% at 180 dSkill. I expected 50%. The only way it would be 75.00% is if it was r180 with a 50% bonus (what I've been calling {W}=15 in my equations), or if it behaved as if it had 5 materia in it. It did have five stats on it, but I have no idea if that matters. Both makes sense to me though - aetherial items having a flat 50% boost to desynth, and aetherial items acting as if they have materia already melded into them.
I never paid attention to aetherial melding rates before. Until now, aetherial equipment was all so low level that there were significantly easier ways to blaze past them.

				Are you certain you weren't comparing upgraded Law to unupgraded Law? Upgraded Law is 49% at 179. Unupgraded Law is 70% at 180.

				Apparently I forgot to rewrite the rest of my post somehow. Oops, so I'll start again:
With Yasha at 70% and being 10 ilvls higher than Valerian, which is at 85% now, it makes sense to me that Valerian was 70% pre-3.1 unless it's some grand coincidence. That's possible, but in any case, now Valerian is definitely 85%, Yasha is 70%, Asuran is 50%, and 3.1 Dungeon Gear is 45%.

				I'm just now getting all the materials crafted for the Anima weapon trade items, and out of curiousity I took a look at HQ Moogle Miniature in the Desynthesis window. At 180 GSM skill, it showed an 85% Success Chance, identical to Valerian gear. All of them were HQ, so I can't say if that has an effect or not.

 
			
			
				I was attempting get some FC1 with my GSM, to help a newer crafter with levelling by making a Dodore Belt. I have not done this since before 3.1 but I remembered it was about a stack Brass Ingots and Rag Wetstones to produce 10 FC1. Assuming consumption of all material returns too.
My memory has been re-inforced by great work of this thread.
Unfortunately, after 141 desynths, I have 6 FC1 and 8 Clear.
Is the formula still pretty much 15% chance of demateria, then split in half between FC and Clear?
My results are closer to 10% dematermia and equal split between FC and Clear remains.
Just bad RNG or have the demateria rates changed?
