Thanks for the advice! But, why are Hardsilver Texture Hammers easier than Titanium Scythes? Titanium Scythes are 1 hardsilver nugget, 1 dark chestnut branch, and 1 cloud mica whetstone. I don't have a MIN retainer, but the branches are straight harvests whereas the lumber takes 5x logs, and the cloud mica whetstones take fewer cloud mica than the nuggets take hardsilver sand. Plus, the hammers have an extra ingredient, the star rubies, which require basilisk whetstones too, which are crafted from basilisk eggs. I'd think the hammers would be harder to craft because they have so many more sub-components and take a good deal more crystals. On top of all that, the texture hammers are r136 instead of the scythes at r139, so they won't get you as far as fast, and of the five mats for the scythes, two can be bought at vendors, vs the five mats for the hammer of which none can be bought at vendors:
Hardsilver Texture Hammer: 10 Hardsilver Sand (MIN), 2 Silver Ore (MIN), 1 Basilisk Egg (MIN), 3 raw star ruby (MIN), 5 Dark Chestnut Log (BTN), 16 Wind Crystal, 5 Wind Shard, 4 Fire Crystal, 4 Earth Crystal, 5 material synths + final synth, r136
Titanium Scythe: 1 Iron Ore (Vendor), 1 Grenade Ash (Vendor), 5 Titanium Ore (MIN), 3 Cloud Mica (MIN), 1 Dark Chestnut Branch (BTN), 5 Wind Crystal, 9 Fire Crystal, 4 Earth Crystal, 2 material synths + final synth, r139
I just fail to see the benefit there...
Also, Hardsilver Alembic is also a bunch of synths for an r133 item that takes 7 material synths plus the final synth and a whole host of mats, vs the Titanium Plate Belt of ... which, while only r130, is far fewer materials. If you want to craft instead of buy, while the titanium belt won't get you as far, it seems much better for the initial bit, and then you're probably ready to skip the alembic and move on to higher ilvl items. Really though, the belts are going to cost less to buy than the materials for the hardsilver alembic will be worth, at least on my server, between the 2x hardsilver nuggets and 2x titanium nuggets. But, if 4x nuggets, 27x crystals, 5x shards, and 8x synths worth of your time are cheaper for you than just buying the r139 belt for 11k, I guess it's a way to advance after the r130 belt isn't getting you enough exp?
Hardsilver Alembic: 10 Titanium Sand, 2 Grenade Ash, 2 Iron Ore, 2 Silver Ore, 10 Hardsilver Sand, 1 Basilisk Egg, 1 Raw Larimar, 5 Wind Shards, 12 Wind Crystals, 8 Fire Crystals, 4 Ice Crystals, 3 Earth Crystals, 7 material synths + final synth, r133
Titanium Plate Belt of ...: 10 Titanium Sand, 2 Grenade Ash, 2 Iron Ore, 3 Dhalmel Hide, 1 Dark Chestnut Log, 8 Fire Crystal, 7 Earth Crystal, 4 Ice Crystal, 3 material synths + final synth, r130
Those are r55, and they are in the guide.
