Desynthesis Endgame Guide

Thank you for this guide. I have a query - I recently returned to the game after playing 1.0 and 2.0. I've unlocked both Heavensward and the latest expansion, but I'm finding that I can only desynthesise items that belong to the original game, nothing from either expansion. [The item descriptions say they are desynthesisable, and they come up in the desynthesis dialogue box, but a big red message of "This item cannot be desynthesized" is shown at the item screen (for everything not in the original game)].

Have I missed a second set of quests to unlock the Heavensward items?

That is simply because you're desynth level is too low.

I still would like be able to desynthesis potions for alchemist, he got far to less things to desynthesis.

Currently GSM 303+ and Imperial Jade stuff is hardly worth desynthing anymore. Is it all dungeon drops from here?

Yes dungeon gear is the only option today. SE does have a habit of unlocking Desynthesis at the even patches. Therefore, next week Verity, Deltascape normal and (maybe) Creation gear should become desynthable.

Just a fishing tip I wanted to add: If you use a controller you can also tell if you landed a rare fish by the controller vibration. It goes nuts for the rare fish like Silver Sovereigns. For me at least, the controller also vibrates when I'm in another window too.
