    If you do not gain experience, you do not lose experience. If your skill is maxed at 100.00 in the class you are currently using, you will never lose experience in another craft when desynthing. I'll put that in the OP. Even if you could gain experience, if you didn't gain any, you can't lose any.

    HOWEVER, there is one exception to this: desynthing while over the 300 point limit. If you're at 300.12 and you desynth anything, even if it gives no experience, you will lose 0.12 in a random craft that you have at least 1.01 in (unless every single desynth class you have points in is "locked" but playing with that is really irritating if you desynth hundreds of items daily like I do). If that random craft hits 1.00, it won't go below 1.00, and if you're still over the limit, your next desynth will trigger this again and so on.

    So even if I desynth, say, Allagan equipment (only 70% at Level 100) and it fails or succeeds, no other Crafting Desynth will be affected right? (Just double-checking.)

    Correct.

    (Of course, that's assuming your combined desynth skill is at or below the 300.00 cap. See the exception explained above and in the OP for details.)

    hi Nyalia. just wanted to say thanks for much for this guide and the continued updating.

    just wanted to follow-up on one thing - in one of your last messages you mentioned a rotation for NQ > HQ for the artisan turn-in's and left me intrigued! did you post it yet? (if so, i must be blind and i'll go back and look again). interested to see what stats you're working with and what you came up with.

    Whoops, no, I didn't. This macro is designed for people who are near 4* capability who do not want to pay attention to the craft. It requires at least 428 craft and works best with over 400 control. It takes 394 CP and thus requires HQ Bouillabaisse.

    This is not a 100% macro. I have, however, had very good luck with it. If all HTs succeed, you hit 100%. If one fails, you still hit 100%. If two fail, you hit around 96%. With three fails, you hit around 77%. Four fails will put you down near 29%. Though, if your final BB falls on a Good, you get much higher than that and chances are about 25% of that happening, further increasing your chances. On average, two should fail.

    so... it is possible to get 3 proficiencies to 100? i mean if you level ONLY 3 crafting classes to Lv30+. and then got those 3 to 100 desynthesis before leveling any others... it should be possible to maintain all 3 at 100? so long as you don't desynthesize anything with another crafting class. just spit-balling here.

    Theoretically, yes, but I feel rather strongly that it's not worth it. Leaving five crafting classes at 15 pretty much completely deprives you of endgame crafting for all classes since you need the cross-class skills to do much of anything at endgame. If you're not doing endgame crafting, then sure, but the tradeoff is very minimal. So, only to people who have literally zero interest in ever crafting should do this. But, if you're not interested in ever crafting, why are you interested in desynth? I guess to make money, but you'd make so much more with a combination of crafting and desynth...
