About 10-15 thick rimmed glasses... just the one Fieldcraft III (and one clear III). Not sure if RNG, but I get much better results from Artisan Specs.

I gathered Garlean items with my wife last night while we spiritbonded full sets of i49 items. It took us about an hour (we spent a lot of it jumping between different Garlean strongholds to see which was the best for SB and item gathering). We made a million each in that hour. I took the mats we obtained and synthed 10 glasses (5 of each type) and obtained 2 Fieldcraft IIIs from them as well as making about 200k in Materia. She managed to get TWO Savage Might IVs from her spiritbonding :P Looks like we have a new activity to do together!

It took us about an hour (we spent a lot of it jumping between different Garlean strongholds to see which was the best for SB and item gathering). We made a million each in that hour. I took the mats we obtained and synthed 10 glasses (5 of each type) and obtained 2 Fieldcraft IIIs from them as well as making about 200k in Materia. She managed to get TWO Savage Might IVs from her spiritbonding :P Looks like we have a new activity to do together!

You guys should split up! More Plates that way!

I haven't had a chance to update the OP, but the new best way to get Fieldcraft IIIs is through the two new 2-star glasses added with 2.38. It's so much better than any other method that the value of FC3s has dropped all the way to 250k on my server (from 450k) and is still dropping. All other methods are quickly becoming unprofitable.

At the same time, FC2s have risen in value (to 10k on my server) making FC2s worth farming now. FC2s are needed for one of the glasses.


I'll probably wait until 2.4 to update the OP though, because 2.4 will completely change everything again, I suspect.

Amusingly enough, mastercrafts have risen on my server (or at least they did last I checked). Since fieldcraft 3 is becoming more accessible, mastercraft demand is going up and those are limited to just the artisan/forager items (even if like 80% of them desynth into mastercraft >.>).

I suspect part of that is that people were using the artisan specs for FC3s and have since moved to the new glasses so they aren't getting the bonus MCs.

You can also get them from the 2 star mog flooring/wall recipe for weaver. The most expensive item is a 10k whisker.
