    Worth doing endgame currently?

So, I don't currently have a state of the art PC. While this has not caused issues in the past (perfectly capable of dodging primal attacks and such), there is one area it matters: zoning takes considerably longer.

Unfortunately, it seems the way to do hunts is with a party spreading out across zones, calling out when one is found, and then teleporting there to kill it. I've tried hunts, and the time it takes for me to zone into a crowded camp makes it impossible to reach hunts in time.

With interest in dungeons and primals at an all-time low, what else is there to do except maybe try and get my ST item each week and call it good?

End-game is only a single dungeon, The Second Coil of Bahamut. So if you have a team of 8, then yes. If you don't, no.

I believe I need to be better geared for that. But oh, hey, need to do hunts for soldiery now. And actually, interest in that appears down as well.

Hunts were added recently, they are not "needed" to gear up for second coil, myth gear and soldiery gear come from doing dungeons, allagan gear comes from first coil, that's all you need for second coil.

Now with ST you can get a few i100 pieces that are better than soldiery, so might as well add that in.

You only need i90 to get into the first turn. Turns 3-4 will proven very challenging if you're not up to snuff in gear, however. Turn 2 is far more a mechanic check than DPS, although there is an enrage timer so you can't really slack.

If you are i90 you are geared to get into SCOB it may be a bit hard but total doable

I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.

Kind of depends on how many aspects you like about a MMO. That's why it varies for everyone. Some people like everything about the game and have an endless amount of things to do, some just like gear or just crafting and eventually hit a wall and have to wait. That's just the way it is in MMO's. How much you have to do, depends entirely on how many aspects of the game you like. The fewer the aspects, the less things to do, the more the aspects, the more things for you to do.

Only you know the answer to your own question~

I like doing quests, acquiring cool looking gear, and making progress. My issue is that this is an mmo, and most things require other people, but everyone only has time for content I am literally incapable of participating in. ST is the only other dungeon I reliably see interest in, but once I get my one item, then what? There is not a whole lot of solo content that I have not already cleared. I may be able to gather and craft until my eyes bleed to try and get the materia to craft things people actually want, but that's mind-numbingly boring to do for hours on end. Likewise for solo farming atma.

How do you play an MMO, Massively Multiplayer Online, and complain about needing people do get things done?

What Content does everyone else have time for, that you cannot do? Are you speaking of the Elite Hunts? There is much more to this game group wise that just Hunting. How is your FC? do you currently have a static? Do you work to Cap Soldiery Each Week? Any Interest in End Game Raiding? Coil?

Sounds like you need to try to find a group for Second Coil of Bahamut, if you want a challenging experience that pushes forward one part of the story. It's a very mechanical raid though. Mistakes are punished heavily and everyone has to know what they're doing.

Probably the best non-raiding way to progress your gear right now is via hunting and using sands/oils to upgrade your weathered gear. You'd need to find a linkshell (or multiple) that are doing this, as there is typically a group within each server coordinating to kill A and S ranks when their spawn windows open. There's plenty of tools out there now to track Time of Death for these, so it's just a matter of finding a hunt party that is doing more than sitting in town waiting for people to announce when a NM is due to spawn.
