Lol awesome, looks like animations failed to load. Probably a one off glitch, maybe you started dc'ing and recovered for a split second or something, who knows.

This eventually happens to another NPCs, such as NPC standing right in front of the Gridania's aetheryte. This time, however, I guess we should ask for a name changing from Ferry Steersman to Rosedewitt Bukater hahaha.

Jokes aside, you should pay attention to Rules on In-Game Bugs in order to report the bug.

Yes, for some it's even worse, 'cause every model in the game looks like that to them. Seems to be GPU-related though.

That specific pose seems to be the base position for the display and making of equipment for the game. It does seem to pop up rarely for some people who fail to load the proper character positions of NPCs for some reason. The ferry is probably the most common place where it occurs due to a zone like loading process when boarding. I think it only happened to me like once in all my time playing.

It randomly happens. I think it is a loading error of the NPC.
