Warriors of Light question. Explanation needed.

The child would not only forgotten by his parent's. but by every one outside of his best friends. It would be as if he didn't exist. He might get replaced by a similar child in their memories

Why, outside of his best friends? No one remembered us but Cid, and that's because he lost his memories, then regained it.

The timeline gets changed somehow so that those that know the guy would somehow be dead or otherwise incapacitated (And this would be done by the Asceans because so far I can't see Hydealyn being that dickish, and also because villains usually kick off doomed hometown plots)

Huh? Nothing in what happened shows any of this is possible. We had a family (duh), and a bunch of people we met before 2.0 are still alive and well.

If they see him again they would feel compelled to avoid the guy...and think he was crazy.

Same as before.


The most likely scenario is its family would remember having a child/siblings etc, that he was at Carteneau, but wouldn't remember exactly who he was / looks like. Just like every other NPC in game.

There was a fan theory many months ago that the warrior(s) of light from 1.0 soul/whatever came to possess our adventurer. Of course it's better explained by those people.

But it's explicitly stated to all of the players with the legacy route in 2.0's story that they are the original warriors of light. At least two key NPCs confirm it, and several others imply it.
