I don't mind needing other players to get things done, so long as there are players actually willing. I had an FC and static, but both have died down to where we usually need to pick up additional members for things. I do work to try and cap soldiery, but that's hunt content now. I have an interest in coil, but my fractured group has trouble with second coil.

I have interest in all these things. I simply lament that my view is not more common.

    Simple answer:

If all you care about is a number on your character sheet then no.

If you value the experience and journey as much as the destination then yes.

It's actually Yes to both of those, sCoB drops the best stuff for your character sheet and can provide fun or frustrating experiences, journeys and destinations with friends or random people.

Same can be said about any other content really, depends on the individual(s). So the real Simple answer is actually just: Yes, it is.

Perhaps I should rephrase the issue as: any advice on dragging 7people away from hunts to do sub-optimal content?

Only few peps in my FC are actually on hunts...most are still running everything from DR to Coil and ST!!!

After too many B rank u start get bored..I only go hunting when someone calls a A or S rank.

I see where you're coming from Urthdigger. It's always sad to see when one of the more helpful and active posters on the forums is getting disgusted with the state of the game. "Just do coil" everyone says. In case everyone forgot, you need a team of players that AREN'T busy doing hunts to get into any instance. And since hunts nullify every other form of progressive playing, then there's no logical reason to do anything else (except for fun, but who plays for fun?)

The hunts have pushed, even forced, many people into a more single player experience. Sure it may have been partly due to the community reception of the content, but how can SE dictate who plays hunts and when, while still trying to stay true to their original vision (open world, non-instanced, no caps or lockouts)?

I don't see this as a complaint thread, or even "I don't know what to do next". When I see someone like Urthdigger unsatisfied with how the game is being played rather than defending it, that seems like a more serious issue.
