Choco Please Help!

I am not exactly sure this is the appropriate area to post this question. I wasn’t able to find a section specifically for companions.

So I have a rank 8 chocobo and I am trying to get him to rank 10. So now if I stable my chocobo in the housing stables and do the chocobo raising, will it rank up my chocobo to 10 or am I misunderstanding how this actually works?

It will raise your chocobo, only in the sense that training them gives experience. now, once you hit rank 10, you can begin feeding it thavnairian onions to raise it up to rank 20, and if it follows the previous ranks rules, it will max your chocobo's skill trees out.

No ones knows how to make them, and putting your chocobo in the stable doesn't really do much.

To give your chocobo exp while it is in the stable, you must feed it krakka roots. The amount of exp you get per training session varies according to the bird's level. You cannot feed it once it hits max exp for that level; so, once you max level 8, you need to remove your bird from the stable and give it exp once more while fighting something in the open world. It will then level up to 9 and you can put it back into the stable for more training. You can feed the bird once per hour.
