So for the hell of it my FC bought a chocobo stable. For science. I'm fortunate enough to be in a position where I can make unilateral decisions like that.

We trained my chocobo once and it got 9600 exp. Not bad, but the stable condition already degraded to fair. Which is a little harsh I think.

But then, we left the chocobo in overnight, and apparently stable condition degrades over time if you have chocobos in there at ALL! I came back the next day and it was poor! Why is this a good idea?! Not only do you not have access to your chocobo if it's stabled, but it actually costs your FC brooms to keep it there! I don't understand why anyone would do this, when the brooms currently cost millions of gil.

Unless you plan on drastically increasing the rate of glazenut and broombush production, chocobo stables are a system I seriously doubt anyone will use.
