You would think something that trivial would have been implemented WITH THE START of the game...oh wait this is SE we're talking about. now as most people know 11 was released in japan a year before it launched in America we did not have to go thru all this, but SE come on guys and gals there are so many things we love about 11 that would have made this game that much better if they had been in from the start everyone is saying it when are you going to listen. No I'm not asking for a copy and paste of 11 to 14 then the game wouldn't be 14, but SE had alot of good stuff that made 11 different from every other MMO. We dont have to go over it, SE know's what those features are so, where are they?

I'm not going to go over how the Recruitment feature works normally but will go over the new functionality.

    For the Person Seeking Party.
    1. Go to Party > Recruit> and set purpose to "Seek invite"
    2. In the comment box, say what you want to do and other misc. information.
    3. What this does is add you to a list similar to FFXI, except its worldwide instead of region locked.

For the Leader looking for members.
    1. Go to Party>Search> and set purpose to "Seek invite".
    2. Most important step, Go down to the class (it defaults on gladiator) and put it to the class you want to recruit. Set it to gladiator if you want a gladiator, Marauder if you want marauders.
    3. Press Search.
    4. The results will show all players of that specific class who are seeking invites.
    5. If you manage to find anyone using the system, i'm jealous

With the Seek Invite functionality, Party Leaders can now put up a regular recruitment as a revenue for players to join and also head hunt while he's doing it. The seeker can seek invite and also search for open party recruitment.

Here are my list of features and changes that would improve the system.
    • Visual Seek Invite flag that appears next to the name of the seeker, similar to FFXI.
    • A new visual hud element that shows how many party leaders have open recruits. The number displayed could be either how many total are searching or how many that you can join specfically
    • Allow Party leaders to select "no class" or "all classes" to show all avialiable seekers, not limiting the list to a specific class.

Visuals communicate. The only reason why the system doesn't get results now is because people ignore and disregard it, believe that other people ignore and disregard it, are confused about the functionality, and do not believe it actually functions. Visuals would make people aware of it, and the biggest thing the system needs. I hope that the suggestions I have made as a person who consistently tries to use the current system are reachable under the current development circumstances.
Not that simple since it's about 20 steps more then an already established FF11 method. Kinda like MWs to the efficiency of AH.

You can't directly invite them (because the invite system is also crippled) you can't communicate, and you can't cross reference. (if they picked U'ath and you picked none, nothing shows up)

Worse of all, you can't even distinguish features due to the broken(aka nonexistant) /sea system.

I've been trying it out since my LS can't manage to get eight 50s on to enter Darkhold. I haven't had any luck. I'm not sure if it's because no one wants to PUG Darkhold or if it's because no NAs on Figaro groups outside of their LS. It's probably a combination of both of those and people not understanding the tool. A visual flag would really help. Also, a way to instantly search for everyone who is LFG. I'm pretty sure right now you can just search by class.

This is the problem on Besaid too, everyone stuck in their own LS bubble and also thinking limited/local shouting is better than using the tool xD (in fact the best method is to shout and keep the tool up looking, too bad NA's are too lazy to do this, not like its a hard tool to figure out either. It's not perfect by far but is WAY better than shouting AND it's a worldwide application!... Too bad I no longer play during Japanese prime, would love to party with people who actually speak and are social once again and use the tools, that while limited currently do in fact work AND get the job done (for now) ^^

It does not hurt to use this, so please continue to try to use it, even if it feels futile (because most of the time it is). But have good faith in knowing it isn't futile because of youu~~~. Remember that you can check for party leader recruits while you are seeking, and spread the word on your server.

    Instanced Raid

    * Players using "Seek Invite" as their purpose when searching for a party will appear in recruit searches only when the recruit purpose is also set to "Seek Invite." "Purpose: none" recruit searches will not turn up players who have set their searching for party purpose as "Seek Invite."

I don't get the system and don't see anyone using it. This could me just me.

    What do you guys think?
Give it a bit... People will eventually start using it!

I know I have to get in the habit of using it.

I was doing a Toto-Rask Run today with my girlfriend and Linkshell mate, we needed one more member so like a responsible leader I put up a recruitment. So we were waiting outside for maybe another linkshell member to finish and join us. We found a guy waiting looking desperate and ending up taking him along.

So we were in the dungeon, and while you're in the dungeon you cant even kick or do anything in the party menu at all. No one can be added or subtracted from the party. My recruitment was still running. very shortly after we started the run, I got a tell asking if there was still room, and i decline and apologized. Another minute later, another guy sends a tell my way, in which i repeated my answer. So we finish a dungeon and just as we got outside a new member, using the party search function immediately joined. And then we did another dungeon run.

The best attitude to take when you see an opening you want is to not even ask if you're needed. Just join that bitch, because they already set the parameters, and you'll only be able to see the opening if you've met them. Don't send a tell and just join.

This is exactly what I do personally... be the hope your server NEEDS to be to spread the usefulness to the NA people :P At times when it seems dead too you'll be surprised that you WILL actually get invites here and there and such. The best thing you can do is hang on and keep trying to spread the word/get it to grow^^
