I liked the thing where someone had an overlay on their map. It gives them an advantage but they still have to patrol those routes, without knowing when ad which spawn location it would appear at.

I don't think that's the point people are making. You are seemingly defending the use of radars from their point of view based on how you're responding. People aren't reading the entirety of your message, and associate your hostility with the support of cheating.
I will say, is that making these B and A ranks spawn at set times means casual players can't benefit from these levels of enemies that are more geared towards them by themselves. I don't think these casual players actually post on the forums though, they don't joining a hunting linkshell, or join PF parties for hunts, they just want to engage in the content at their own pace.
With these hunts being sat on by multiple groups, a solo player cannot get much credit for something, even if they find it first, because once people roll in, the hunt will get reset and thrown around not allowing this player to contribute much and overall get barely any credit for something designed to be done with just a few people... not 30+.
FC + LS + Radar = Of course they're cheating don't be naiveradar app is only useless unless u move all around the map, JUST LIKE everyone else
finding it FIRST doesn't mean finding it alone or fighting alone, you will still have an army next to you fighting
it's not really a problem, FCs and Hunt LSs have time of deaths WELL documented and researched since patch day, so the whole FC would run in a map in the suspected 'window' thats why they are finding it first, cause they use team work while others search randomly+solo

I doubt looking into the inner workings of a game and designing applications to take advantage of them is any trait of a casual player. This mess started with the implementation of the content, and only got worse with those who wanted to privatize it.One other thing .... "the casuals" always talk about the "hardcore" being elitest pricks right?
Yet, by addition of the hunt all the work of those "hardcore" raiders was thrown out of the window, because now everyone can get the same level of gear without being in Coil ever .....
And STILL, it is mainly "the casual corner" that is crying SE a river for being forgotten and still want it easier and easier and easier. They still blame people that are organized, have a bit more time and know what the hell they are doing instead of doing something about it THEMSELVES.
... seriously. Do you complain at your boss when something at your job is doing a better job than you do or do you try to get better?

I would hate to be forced to join a LS for hunts, I was briefly in one for maps but the chat got so annoying (juvenile). Part of the problem really is the amount of people showing up and the mobs still die fast from what I have seen. Kind of disappointing actually. We can only wait and see what SE does anyways.

I guess most people who have problems in hunting they don't even have one single LS of hunting
People use an external tool. It may be a good tool and can give SE a good idea of a tool to be implemented in-game to enhance the hunt and equilize the chances and fun of hunting.
PS : I of course use the spreadsheet and have several hunt LS. This is not the topic, learn to read and understand.
So you can "casually" upgrade the Weathered set via Sands/Oils being obtainable through other sources. Is it the same iLvl? Certainly. Is it BiS? Hardly.
Was the same fuss kicked up over Myth gear "invalidating" original Coil drops? And why don't I hear about the evils of the "oh-so-casual" Syrcus Tower dropping Oils and UATs (and soon to be Sands as well)?
Granted, in 2.5, we'll be hearing all of this yet again, about how the "casuals" are ruining "your" game, and "invalidating" Third Coil drops with their "unearned" high-iLvl gear. PC players had all of 1.0 to themselves. Isn't it high time the wall came down to finally include everyone, and not just the chosen few?

@Shape As stated before, the overlay thingy is the radar people are using to spot. It gives you a small advantage since it can look around corners and behind you.
@LeonBlade In no way I am defending the user of radar, absolutely not. What I agree with is that people do not read my messages properly. All I am asking for is that everyone puts in a bit of time and effort to find a mark. Hell, if you are too lazy to hunt for marks just join a linkshell and act when they spam something is spotted. It is not that hard.
@Elven Your reaction is a nice form of generalization. Any proof on this?
@Kallera If you are too lazy to look into the inner mechanics than don't, but do not expect to get everything out of the experience either. Also, the least effort you could put into it is joining a hunting linkshell and just react when they spot something.
Yes, I don't want to join a Linkshell just for hunts, especially seeing what type of people these members are first hand. I joined a party with mainly nice people the other day and we had fun finding stuff, I found a rank A by myself knowing only that North Shroud was due to spawn, knowing nothing about previous spawn positions or anything, it was fun. But, seeing the shout chat of other people, or seeing my friend having people trying to kill him with other nearby AOEing enemies they would agro onto him... this sort of hostility is something I'd like to stay away from.
Hunts should be something that aren't predictable, it doesn't feel like it's working the way it was designed.
