It's not a Legacy mark, but more a 1.0 mark
The Legacy chocobo get every character on a legacy account, while the mark get only the characters who were created during 1.0 (also on normal account)

Sad part about getting quests to explore the life and times of Legacy chocobos is the backlash that will happen from those who don't have one. They could make the quests available to all like the Hildibrand line but without a reference point (Hildibrand needs no such convenience) people would wonder why bother, or will demand everyone gets a Legacy chocobo either as a quest reward or get at least the barding. Personally, I can live without knowing. I mean, the Warriors of Light vanished for 5 years. Where were we for that time? I mean, we were obviously tattooed and given new clothes so we weren't just floating frozen in the Void. I think that old man Louisoix probably had his way with us... would explain everything.

With chocobo breeding we would have anyway multiple chocobos
I say keep the Legacy Chocobo it's own thing, but let it fight with us as a companion number 2.

My legacy chocobo is enjoying his well deserved rest after taking me everywhere in 1.0 and then searching for me for 5 years

I would have liked to have used my legacy chocobo as my companion as well. I simply don't ride him that much because I feel more obliged towards the one that actually fights for me.

Silly reason I know, but that's just how I am. =P
