    A new kind of Lazy

So i was running Syrcus tower when I noticed something odd, one player would just sit outside the stage for every battle, no one noticed at first but I kept my eye out and they would quickly jump out of the area just as everyone else ran in and would get locked out. Every battle this happened until we eventually kicked them. This then happened again but this time they would just stand still in the arena. It seems more and more people are just being carried through this dungeon. The worst was when 4 people never left the starting area and rolled on and even won loot even though they did nothing. Maybe they could fix this by only allowing people to roll on loot if they've done a certain amount of damage or healing within the battle so people who just stood still or locked themselves out couldn't just steal the loot? Either way it's kinda annoying.

I wouldn't call this new, it's been happening since the original CT came out. Really all you can do is kick them and hope it wasn't a tank or healer doing it, because quite often if they requeue fast enough they'll jump straight back in, often while you're fighting and you cant kick them again until after

Was just about to say, that better not be me... The other day I joined CT2 in progress just as the boss fight started and had to sit outside and watch.

Even if I was a terrible player, what would be the point of not even taking part? What's the point of gear if I'm not going to fight?

Actually... It happened even with CM/Prae back in 2.0... People would join, then just sit there at the start... Or go afk in the middle when they figured people would rather finish than exit and re-queue... since you couldn't kick at all then...

While I'm not saying it's the case with that player I've seen a number of runs where the majority of people just run on ahead and engage leaving players with lag/connection issues continually excluded from encounters. Although, to be fair, if they're lagging that bad they invariably die within seconds of engaging a boss anyway.

Everytime i'm doing ST (even the days of 1 item per week from CT) i always but ALWAYS checking everyone....seen people afk = votekick instant

It was more problematic on CT in that boss you needed all 3 partys to work togheter.

People getting locked out because others are impatient is one thing, thats the fault of the people that sprint off and pull the second they get in range and dont care about the ones who were buffing/having to return to start after dying. There's unfortunately a lot of people who just odnt want to do the work, keep up with the group to look like they're there, then jump outside the barrier just before it goes up and hope nobody notices so they can roll on loot without having to put in the effort

I understand that some people do unfortunately lag out and you get the people who try to speed run anything and everything so i do sympathies with those people who get unfairly locked out but It's just a shame this is already happening on such a new dungeon.

Yes, CM AFKs, back in the day, got so bad that it was the main impetus behind the introduction of the kick feature.
