In case you haven't look at my profile... all my crafting skill are maxed.The fact that OP hasn't leveled up crafter doesn't mean that dungeons suddenly should be loaded with tons of gear. I do run new dungeons especially hoping that I will get crafting materials to pimp up my private chamber or simply sell.
It actually is very good if "I want to speedrun Brayflox 20 times in arow" type of people waste their time camping Naul in Coerthas now.
I actually like the crafting mats (ok, just potash, animal fat, hardened sap, and coke) and until this update I merely viewed getting level 70 armor as ~1/3 of a crafting mat. Now, of course, level 70 stuff is dysenthesis fodder and much more valuable than ...what would it be....~7% of the materials for a level 70 piece of gear (a single potash or the like)?
I'm all for moving them elsewhere. Hell, give level 50 MIN/BOT things to gather that people actually want! Currently they each have clusters and 2 items each that are useful enough to bother with.
They should be gathered, it's crafting stuff, why can't we gather them?
Run expert roulette every day for that free Alexandrite.
Ninja Novus isn't going to make itself, y'know. Outside of that, dungeons are a dying breed unless you only have a very small amount of time to play (less than 2 hours a day).

OP, you sure ppl not doing dungeons anymore? Cause there's still lots of stuff other content can't give:
- For ppl doing Novus, doing a roulette expert are a must since it's a sure way to get daily alexandrite maps. Even if you got alot of hunt seals, I really doubt you even want to spend it buying alexandrite. lol
- Gear drops. Not only they're great for free spiritbonding, you can turn them into GC seals, and even need alot of them for leveling desynthesis.
- Oh... and again: spiritbonding, depending on situations.
- Rare drops. That baby opo-opo from brayflox HM are still highly sought and still very expensive on server's market. Mine still in 6 digit price. There's also rare drops for vanity crafting mats which several of them still quite expensive, and can still making bit of fortune at market even if you're not interested in crafting.
and there are other reasons I can't think of atm. lol
This thread was mainly to act as a counter perspective of people not doing dungeon because of Hunt. I wish to point out ti is much deeper than that and full run of filter water made one angry.a lot.
With frontline giving 50/25 myth/sold for a usually 15-20 minute pvp win or loose, I'd rather have my ass handed to me cause I'm not the best at pvp, plus all the wolf mark i can use to get desynth fodder. I only run dungeon when I'm bored and an LS or FC mat wants to run one or more. I want the MNK top like another poster, but with the chance of even seeing a piece of gear so low, I don't even bother. I'll just use the war harness for a decent look on my MNK.
Imagine when you killed a hunt, there was a 9/10 chance of getting a craft material instead of allied-seals.
