Well in addition to Hunt, I still do my weekyl coil and ST tower and maybe expert routtle.

I personally have no use for the vendor trash, and have never met anyone running dungeons for that. However, getting mats that are actually necessary for crafting progression in chests is random enough as it is (ie: peacock ore, coke, lime sulfur, potash, hardened sap, and animal fat). Personally, I would even argue that the amount of seals needed should be lowered to 1000 seals/mat. Part of the reason I run dungeons personally is to save those mats up because I almost have all my DoHs to 50. I also lot all the gear as well to trade for seals to buy mats.

Oh yeah, come on, huge pull for that extra last chest, and.... ooooohh Hi-Potion!! LUCKY!!!
/sarcasm
didnt noticed anything bout less ppl's in dungeons , everything as usual on Balmung : Coils/Myth runs/CT/ST/Ex and trash hunt PF's
The fact that OP hasn't leveled up crafter doesn't mean that dungeons suddenly should be loaded with tons of gear. I do run new dungeons especially hoping that I will get crafting materials to pimp up my private chamber or simply sell.
It actually is very good if "I want to speedrun Brayflox 20 times in arow" type of people waste their time camping Naul in Coerthas now.
I thought for a second that you're reccomending that crafting materias be given out as rewards for dungeons and I'm like, HELL YES LET'S DO IT WHY NOT BATTLE AND GATHERING MATERIAS TOO. I'm a minor crafter. I have everything at 50 but I can barely make 2 stars. I could go 2 star or 3 star but I just dont feel like it. Materia prices are killer for someone cheap like me and spritbonding is lame. I spent like 700k on crafting materia out of the blue yesterday so I can hit the craftman stat for a 2 star. Instantly regretted it.
The new dungeons drop some good looking armor that people might want for vanity (i do). The gear can also be desynth'd if you're a crafter. Putting the crafting mats in the dungeons is stupid. Those 2* mats should be out in the world somewhere, like at mining and botany nodes. Get it out of the dungeons.I personally have no use for the vendor trash, and have never met anyone running dungeons for that. And lets be realistic. For every good potash, coke or animal fat you get, you've gotten 3 drops of voidsent blood, filtered water or minium. I wouldn't doubt I would have more of the mats that I actually *wanted* from dungeons if the dungeons only dropped gear and I just traded that stuff in for seals.
I was farming Stone Vigil and Tam-Tara HMs today for Monk body, and got fast queues, I don't agree with you that people aren't doing dungeons. I DO agree that the way these crafting materials are dropped NEEDS to change. So much filtered water and voidsent blood. I just want my Monk body, and stop giving me crappy materials. I win rolls on garbage materials and roll a 4 on stuff that I actually want...
I don't mind if those potions drop, but please put the materials there, and the loot in the main chests... or change the gear to material ratio and increase the materials you get per drop to 3 so you have to get 3 rolls to make a 2 star craft from it with dungeon runs alone, otherwise it just takes forever. I used to stock up on peacock ore back when you bought it with philo with all the extra philo I had laying around, but I would sell it all for quick gil, now it's a pain for me to get it without having to farm seals or get lucky and get ONE in a dungeon.
Do you know what would happen if they put the crafting mats in regular chests?
Bots would enter, tele to chest, open, leave...
Just like they did with WP when chests could drop item that was only usable to sell for gil.
Most of the crafting mats sell from GC for 2500 GC seals, while one gear-piece can be turned in for 900 or so GC seals.
Keep things as they are, or things will only get worse again.
Rolling a 4 doesn't matter much if you actually enter as the job you want the piece for so you can needlot. Of course, there is a tiny chance that the other dps is also that job and also want to lot on it.
