I agree, we could solve this with an optional racial faction rep grind. The grind should be long and have the achievement of a meer title and unlocked vendor that sells race faction clothes, special glamour prisms, chocobo race faction color patterns, and a bunch of crap you can buy anywhere else

I don't know, I don't really like how difficult to get they make all the glamour stuff in this game. There's enough grinding already. Maybe that would be fine as long as it's no more than a beast tribe worth of grind.

Ahh, remember the original game where underwear was an equippable item with stats? You couldn't unequip them (since who wants to see naked Roegadyn's running amok?), but you could swap them in for another pair. A literal change of underwear! The bikini sets were originally an underwear piece if I recall correctly too.

As for a change in underwear though, I have to ask why? I mean, unless you run around with no equipment, you are literally the only person who will see them anyway. I will say that I miss the option to dye them though.

While I wouldn't mind being able to change the underwear that appears as part of the "naked" character model, those equipable undies from 1.0 are actually the ones I'm talking about. There's no underwear slot anymore but the items are still equipable, and useable for glamour. Maybe I shouldn't have said smallclothes, since on the character creation screen that basically means the naked model.

Mostly I just want the elf lady sleeves, because I saw them paired with gloves to look like a long opera glove sort of thing, which is a look I don't think you can get any other way currently so I'm jealous.

I would be all for this, I really like the hempen gear the Elezen Females get
as for those of you who talk about race specifics, we still have the starter RSE for each race, and who knows maybe SE will add new RSE sometime later you know kinda like the lv27-34 RSE sets in FFXI? those weren't just recolours, they had fine details to set them apart if you looked closely at them.

100% agree with this thread. When I play my elezen and i want fancy sure the top works wonders but it would be really nice to have a option to have just a plain shirt like option like the hyur top.. or miqote tops. For men i see people asking all the time how to get that "T shirt " that hyur men get that is a much cooler look for vanity then sleeves and no top, or how nice it would be to put on a fancy elezen top with your spring skirt. Though I understand people want to have some uniqueness to the races but when there is no plain shirt option outside 1.0 underwear It would be nice to opt this to be all race gear. (Besides those of you who play ladies tell me you didnt consider highlaner women for that top, just sayin)


Also with hair hair I don't feel it should be a race only thing. It's kinda silly.. saying you go to the barber and cant have a half braid. Let's face it different people like different hairs. some like short and punkish some like it long. I was super hyped when Miqo finally had a long hair option.

I just feel like being the race you are already makes you unique to that race. I can easily identify any of the 5 major races without an issue. The 2 smallers ones are not immediate, but still easy enough. Just by being your race, you are already unique.

I want both the Elezen and Hyur hempen undershirt. Shirts that are just sleeves could be cool to try to find a good glamour for, and there are SO many outfits that would have worked if only I had a normal t-shirt! SE, remove race restrictions on clothes please, at least the hempen undershirts!

And if they don't make it possible to get the hempen outfit from a different race then they should at least give all races 2 different types. After all it doesn't seem fair that only the hyur have 2 different styles depending on what hyur you are.

I would also like for all the undergarments to be worn by all races but what i've been thinking for a while if SE would make a new type of undergarment maybe a more Real life looking one and it could also be a new recipe in a later patch, just a thought of mine.
