Can Bards have a stun? (PvP or in general)

Some might disagree, and that's fine, but we Bards could really use either a Stun Arrow of sorts, or a more effective Shadowbind. Yes, we're primarily support, and our real strength lies in our utility/CC over our DPS, but both DRG and MNK have stuns, casters have their Sleep/Repose. . . We get a nerfed bind with an extended cooldown, which is rendered almost ineffective more often than not.

Primarily, I have PvP in mind, but a good stun would serve well in PvE as well, and only further increase the utility we're so good for.

Bards have silence and bind. I really don't think they should have a stun at this time.

Put on feint in the cross skill and we'll have a slow.
Put in blast arrow in the Pvp cross skill and we have an aoe knock back
Put in mana song(Pvp skill one)and we'll be instant mana recharge for whms and scholars
We have tp/mp/magic resistance decrease songs
    A blunt arrow and a 10sec bind
    We can gun and run
We have a repelling arrow to back off
Do we really need a stun? .-.

Try rolling as archer instead. You still get swiftsong.

Bard in Frontline is not a support class, it's heavily party focused "kill-em all" class. It considered to be on par with healers (and they are really overpowered), so I see no point in asking for more. Outstanding burst damage, ranged dps, ability to hit&run, songs, silence, bind - it makes bards in groups very dangerous.

And shadowbind is godly in PvP as it's instacast allows you to stop running target, wait until group comes and kill it easily.

This is so true in PvP, 100%. It would just be nice to have an ability other than silence or bind that is actually useful in a raid. I know someone said you should crossclass feint from lancer, and that is a good idea, but it still would be a nice thought.

    Stun for Bards in pvp?
The hell, have you ever played as healer in frontlines? It's almost impossible to stand a chance against bards,
all I see it stacks over stacks and I can't cast anymore because it get's interrupted at once. If I don't have anyone that can esuna me I'm literally done for. Stun would be the most unfair thing ever, really ^^' I can understand that you would like to have, really. I'm 50% dragoon and I don't have anything else besides stun (slow doesn't count, no one is using that in the normal rotation xD) so consider yourself lucky ;P

Thats funny because I kinda spend my time at focusin all of them when I don't have to heal a lot :P

As I see it bards dont stand a chance against healers or dragoons when they got their jumps and fetter ward

It depens on the situation ofc ^.^ Mostly bards go like "pew pew pew SPLAT" because they are really squishy and I downed some of them too, but when 2 bards go all ...whatever it is called...on me I can't cast a thing and therefore go SPLAT myself if nobody can rescue me xD
May depend on PVP experience, I'm still kinda new to that xD

When I go in as dragoon it's funny against bards, it's certainly SPLAT in a few seconds

Its not a problem too to kill 2 bards at the same time on your own. I mean surecast is here for a reason, same for Blizzard 2. You just have to play around somethnig to break los quite a lot and make sure than one of the two will not have a lot of room to shoot at you while you kill the other one.

With all your cds up its actually pretty easy to manage, dont forget that aura blast and I forgot the name of the skll speed decrease one do some really nice damage when they crit with Cleric on. that and cycle your defensive options one at a time, especially on the fairy point of view you don't want it to blow everything at once and leave you defenseless after
