Class and Job symbols: question.

So, you do know that classes and jobs got their symbols in the party list.
Gladiator has two swords, Paladin the shield and so on. I have a question; what are the Arcanist/Summoner/Scholar symbols? And also the Thaumaturge one.
I cannot figure this out D:

Yeah yeah, that's not what I meant. I was looking for someone who can tell me what the Arcanist, Thaumaturge, Summoner and Scholar symbols represent. That's all.

Arcanist is an aetherometer if I remember correctly. They appear in the Monk job quest when a ACN asks you to take aether readings in various areas.

Thaumaturge looks to be flames, or even flames being emitted from the head of a staff.

Summoner looks to be a geometric symbol. Makes sense due to geometry playing a huge roll in their magicks.

Scholar is a pair of glasses, which makes one look scholarly.

hmm, I thought THM was flames in a brazier and SCH was a scale. I never could make much sense of the SMN symbol and figured it's just a horn (like SMNs traditionally wear in many FF games including this one).

The summoner one looks like a sextant to me, but I never could quite figure out what that would have to do with summoners.

I honestly thought the Scholar one was an upside down Tome (book) with the pages curled back and the spine in the center there. But glasses work too.

I though that too when I first saw it back after release, but then I started to have my doubts. Logically, if they wanted to represent a book, I would think it would be facing upright as that would be the most recognizable (and how we read books). I can see how the little curls were pages folded back, but they look a little too extreme for my tastes to simply be pages. Then it occurred to me that the SCH AF set has glasses attached to the head-piece. That, coupled with the "scholarly look" I mentioned prior, finally led me to believe the symbol ultimately represented a pair of glasses.

ohhh sorry. For me the SCH symbol look to the Omega symbol.
