Right Place, Right Time

So has there ever been a time in the game, where you just happen to get lucky more than once? That kind of coincidental "right place at the right time" kind of thing? It happened to me yesterday.

First, I just HAPPENED to be in Coerthas when everyone let me know that Naul was up, with me getting there well in enough time to get 20 Allied seals, and then not 10 minutes later, I happened to be running around in the open world and found a group about to attack another target. (I can't remember the name, but it must have been a good once because I got another 20 Allied seals :P). So with a couple more low level hunts, I was able to upgrade my armor for less than 20 mins of work.

THEN, only an hour or two later, I was leveling BTN in North Shroud when Odin spawned, and I was able to grab 5 mantles off of him after he was downed, which allowed me to get my Chocobo barding. (this all makes me think I need to try ATMA haha)

Anywho, so what about the rest of you? Have you ever just happened to be in the right place at the right time and was able to reap all the benefits?

You must be new to FF MMOs. Radar's been used since XI to track and map NM pops and gets more sophisticated.

HaHa actually I played FFXi for 5 years upon release, and have been playing FFXIV for 5 months. Though, I do admit I played the former on the PS2 and the latter on the PS3. I'm guessing this Radar must be a PC thing lol. My guess is that's probably why I've never heard of it. Is it a separate program I'm guessing?

The only radar which i know of being currently in use by a wide number of players (I won't mention what it's called as i don't want to encourage it's use anymore than it is already) supposedly has the ability to scan a 360 degree view around you, through rock formations, nooks and crannies. Which ultimately means you can run around and not even pay attention to your game screen and just sit there reading what's showing up on the radar. Pretty convenient not having to physically look with your own eyes and search out every rock and cave.

I have not heard of any which are able to give users a zone wide radar scan of everything. But I wouldn't doubt they are out there and being kept secret in order to monopolize an NM the moment it spawns.

This is so not fair to legit players.

This especially sucks for players like myself who are on the ps4 (or ps3). Lol we don't even have the option to cheat even if we wanted to.

And our load times are kicking our asses too leaving us face planted in the dirt while others go wreck every mob that's breathing.

Yes it is a 3rd application, and nothing official made it 'legal' or 'illegal' so far.

EDITED: I do know it's against the ToS, and happy about it. What I want to know from it: what SE will do with those that used/are using it? I don't want to get a rollback just bec of bad seeds. Thank you.

I am staying away from it: beware the horde, as If I go do my beast tribes and I get across a monster which doesn't seem to fit with the environment and with a different name than what i'm used to see, you bet I'll try to kill.

Of course if he's big enough, I'll shout for help, or I will wait a few seconds cause you will have seen it before me from a long distance, correct?

And I'll save my provoke in case you try with good manners to take it and to reset it (now that is unethical, but is that legal?) So bring more than one Tank

3rd applications are forbidden for this game, so it's official that radars aren't allowed.
