    Or simply a 30min duration. i would like to get some activate/desactivate skill, like the maraudeur Rank10 skills, as Glad using the shield by exemple.

    I kinda like it the way it is. I like to play games for their challenge. Having to worry about positive statuses is a good thing IMO

    I vote for a higher MP costs/cast time and a decent but not crazy recast on pro/shell without reduction in power. Increase the buff to 30 mins minimum and lets say about a 2-5 minute recast at about 150 mp each?

    These numbers are just off the top of my head but definately don't need to reduce its effectiveness just to extend the duration.

    Protect and shell definately need a duration increase 30 minutes is ideal, rebuffing every 5minutes is just plain rediculous.

    Honestly I don't like that vision... call me old fashioned but I'm more for some exclusive conjurer ability to length the duration of all their buffs without lowering the effect, I'm just expressing my likes by the way

    That philosophy is fine, but I'm not sure 10% less physical / magical damage is what I'd call a "powerful" buff. Shock spikes, on the other hand, I feel is very effective. Stunning enemies for a brief moment after they hit you can be quite the equalizer if you have a bunch of things wailing on you.

    The protect and shell effects right now are non existent.
    If they make them actually boost defence and magic defence I dont mind if they last 5 mins.
    They have to make the spells working first.

    Protect and shell should mean something more. Increased potency and duration up to 10 mins. Don't care if this means it costs more. And crap, if you're going to go the Cure Curaga route, why not the Protect Protectra, Shell Shellra, Stone Stonera. Like you did it in one aspect but not all, I get its already an AP problem, but seems weird only thing that has two spells like that in this game will be curing. Maybe not seem weird to people who didn't play a lot of FFs, but it seems really odd to me. Also in XI paralyze and slow were super important, whats up with paralyze slow silence bind and such being so completely useless, were you too afraid of RDM solo again? Even though we did it without those anyway in XIV? Why were those spells made so lame?
    Spells need to be overhauled, not just Protect and Shell. For both mages too.
