    Protect/Shell Duration Increase

    This is a simple request regarding Protect and Shell. The duration should be increased, in both AOE and single target formats, to 30 minutes. This especially holds true for when parties are doing instances. It's a bit difficult sometimes to constantly be wanting to buff the party every 5 minutes.

    I totally agree with this. Especially with the increased cost of MP now for many spells. There just isn't enough to go around anymore.

    Yep yep. Thinking about 1.19 for the greater skill rehaul. Perhaps it comes with jobs though.

    I would also love a duration increase but for other reasons.
    We have already a lot of skills to use during battles. The need to cast Protect every 5min seems nothing more than a pointless nuisance. I don't even bother using it, when i solo. Effect is low, duration is short.

    Would be different if Protect would be very effective, but Protect I isn't.
    Maybe increase Protect I or bind the duration with MND.

    With Rank 15 Protect I is effective, but don't last long.
    With Rank 50 Protect I, would be weaker, but would last very long. Protect II would be stronger, but shorter.

    @OP Totally agree. But I do have a question about Protect/Shell in general. Is it stronger when a mage casts it versus say a MRD? I know in FFXI WHM had traits to increase the effectiveness of Pro V and Shell V and later RDM got gear to enhance Refresh, but is that so in 14 (in regards to pro/shell)?
