What to expect as a PS3 player

It's really frustrating to see how all of the new contents make seem all of our money spended on membership and on the game itself is wasted... i keep reading people saying "You know, on 2.4 you cannot keep playing on ps3" and stuff like that, well im starting to belive that it will be just like that.

For example In 2.3 the best content was Hunting, promoted in all places, but surprise in ps3 in the loooots of time your console take changing to another map and trying to pass the massive crowds, all parties have already taken the boss like 50% down, and if you by a miracle get a chance of seeing the monster you just can hit them like twice and get minimal reward for the kill...

Exponsing this just as ONE of the contents you can't do as a PS3 player, i feel kinda scammed, guess for future players that are thinking to play on PS3 SE should recomend they to gather all the money they would spend on membership and in the game and just buy a great PC or a PS4, because SE just dont support PS3 anymore...

If you replace your PS3's harddrive with an SD drive (solid-state harddrive), it should help with loading times...or so I've heard. Also from what I've heard, you'll want the type meant for laptops.

Just do a search for "SD drive for PS3" in your search engine of choice for more information.

if the PS3 experience is so bad they should compensate somehow, like make the monthly fee cheaper or offer a discount for the PS4 / PC versions to PS3 players

I don't think that's fair for anyone. I think the ps4 version is free to ps3 users anyways. PS3 is the cheap mans way out. You can get a low end PC and it will run better than the PS3 version. My wife played on the PS3 and it was so horrible I built her a new one, not that powerful and it runs the game great and looks nicer than the ps3 version. PS4 version runs pretty nicely as well. So go buy one or the other. You would spend about the same. It's not that SE doesn't support the ps3, its that the PS3 is a weak system. To me this just sounds like a bunch of babies crying. Can't afford something? Do extra work on the side to get it.

Hunts are terrible and I avoid them because they're impossible to play, but I would avoid them even on a high end PC because open world content sucks the fun out of everything, it's just a bunch of heal spams trying to get as much aggro as possible. I'd rather wipe to a boss with interesting mechanics than sitting around waiting for someone to find a monster that will be dead before I have the chance to teleport.

If I did care about it tho, I'd drop the sub, because you are right. They need to design content that can be done on all consoles that they decided to support.

Just sell your ps3 or use those gamestop trade-in things that you can give an older console as part of the payment.

And about that, I can tell you that is the same for PS4. I tried like 5 rank S and I couldn't even see the mob, even running around where it was supposed to be.. And damn, I'm on a PS4!

So the thing is, they need to apply the same patch they did for Odin/Behe on couple patches ago to the hunt mobs.

yeah... things aren't any better on the PS4 either. snow maps still get low frame rates... even when no players are around doing anything. the PS4 should be MORE then capable of handling this game. but the fact is is that it is BARELY capable handling this game. lol FML

It runs just fine on mine. The only time I notice anything is if the is a hiccup in the internet connection.

when facing outwards towards the larger area of the map there is a frame rate decrease. if the PS4 struggles to process this, how can it handle all the players at a hunt or Odin FATE? it can't.
