I guess it's a step up from being a dime-a-dozen miqote which are everywhere, but the camera view changes and overall floursack-type body are real turn-offs to me.

"Well, it's no Vana'diel, but it'll have to do..."
Lalas are all about emotes spam tbh lol.
If you aren't spamming, stalking, running circles around someone then you aren't playing lalafell to its fullest.
Yes they tend to gravitate towards eachother for mischief and the such ( i know personally as i was a falafell too)
But it gets tiring after a while as you are too short to be "glamouress".
Mi'qote and lalas are the bag of coins while us elezen and hyurs are dollar bills.
But roes are the gold bars lol
They are dinner.

I was a Lalafell once. It was terrific.
Eww. Why would you do that to yourself?
Changing from a boring and generic catgirl to a boring and generic lala? Sounds like a waste of phantasia to me. You know, there are other races too, right?

You MUST become a female Hyur Highlander.
Because DREDLOCKZ.
In the new world...Miqo'te will be our mounts.
I switched a Lalafell and enjoy it quite a bit, but you have to evaluate what is important to you aesthetically first. If looking "cool" is important to you insofar that you like the way armor looks on a typical humanoid figure and this is important for you, you may not like lalafell. Things that look awesome on the other races not so much on lalafell, and vice versa on other things. For me, I like to emote and just the animations in general of lalafell. Their walk is awesome, their emotes are great...
... but secretly, I like being able to perch on things that would just look stupid w/ bigger characters. I like sitting in peoples crafting stove pots, on random signs in cities, and other things like that >_>.
