The Wandering Carbuncle of Revenant's Toll

Has anyone else noticed the Carbuncle that randomly pops up in the shopping area in front of Rowena's House of Splendor? Or the Miqo'te Arcanist walking around and talking to the shopkeepers? I hope they get a back story.

Places Wandering Carbuncle has been seen:
- On top of the red wagon next to Wiscard
- In Guolgeim's stall, next to the Elezen who is fanning himself.
- Viridiana "I've also seen it camping out on top of one of the light posts you can see south of the market. "

I don't think they really need a back story, since it's mostly just there to breath a bit of life into an otherwise uninteresting market area.

I do like the fact that it shows Carbuncle is at least somewhat sentient, smart enough to hide from its master, and capable of summoning and dismissing itself. It makes me want to know more about what Carbuncle actually is.

I believe you can't assign Retainer's role as Arcanist

Retainers can be any base class, they just can't be assigned the advanced jobs

actually the carbuncle's name is Ruby. Its master is a Miqo'te in white that wanders the market in search of it, sniffing and calling out for it. This NPC also comes out of a building a couple of times.

And one of it's drops can be a giant, Carbuncle mount.

I've seen it hanging out on the various ropes that span between buildings. Also the fact that the NPC ACN named her Carbuncle makes me wish we could name ours

I'm guessing it's canon then that Miqo'te have a heightened sense of smell.
