I think I'll be doing this. Then I can point out the cheaters and /laugh.

That idea makes no sense ... no offense.
Think of it this way : One guy who is using a radar add-on finds the name on their radar, call out the Coords and a lot of ppl go there. Those guys get close to you because someone said there was a hunt mark there. They aren't using this "radar" and now you'd be reporting them for cheating because someone told them to go there ? Yeah right..
Just saying, I've seen someone receiving the visit of a GM who asked to stop reporting for cheating as this could be concidered as harassment. ( Keep in mind they're a bunch of ppl reporting players for CHEATING just because they pulled "early" (early, which stand for "They pulled and we didnt have at least 400 players on that Rank B hunt)
Think twice before doing this.
My 2 cents.
It's not originally my idea, just something I picked up on forums while digging up info on how to mess with these people that are cheating. I highly recommend looking up a full list of Mark names.
I wouldn't consider everyone that pops in an area a certified cheater since it's obvious that people report when it appears to their hunting linkshell, only the ones that freak out when you put your chocobo away or mount it and start accusing people of killing it.
What most of these people are using only detects in a radius about as large as your mini-map, hence why you suddenly are seeing lv50 characters from large FCs standing stationary spread out over an areas map.
I didn't say this was for reporting. I use it to divert attention of linkshells, though it's up to each player to decide what they want to do with it.
Those that are taking advantage of a cheaters source of info are just as guilty in my opinion, but that's just my 2 cents.

Think of it this way: Someone is holding a gun to your head, and your only chance to live is by using the shotgun by your side. Using the shotgun will injure innocent bystanders behind the aggressor. Do you save yourself, or let the aggressor kill you because you don't want to risk injury to others?
Definitely not a perfect example, but the concept is the same. SE can not find every violator on their own, they need the communities help to eliminate unfair play. As long as truly innocent people can prove their innocence, it makes no sense to stand idly by while hacks and cheats run rampant and destroy the game for 1000s of other players.
Player

Most of the hunts and marks I've encountered spawn generally in the same area every time. Diversions wouldn't work for very long... Players already know where to check and they would recognize if a Mark is out of place.
Now everyone renaming their Chocobo is not the solution we're looking for.
We're looking for a solution that will punish players for cheating. They will work it out... many accounts will get banned. People will cry and say they weren't cheating and then most of the community will be scared out of exploiting... until the next time.

I don't see why the system isn't red flagging people for forcing a query through their client for a mob that the client shouldn't be querying due to ranged distance. This game really does seem to have no security if you can send a packet saying give the the coordinates of Naul and it not to do a distance check to see if this is even apropriate, reminds me of when players were sending packets to the server to tell it that it had items or levels and the server was like oh ok that's cool.
