Would it be possible to change the names of all the hunts to one-word names?

I've had great success throwing off many PC players that are cheating the system with unapproved add-ons by renaming my chocobo companion to the name of an areas mark and summoning it to divert the attention of large linkshells that are obviously not playing fair when dozens of them call for parties when I pop my chocobo and think someone has killed it when I put my chocobo away.

Unfortunately I can only rename my chocobo to single word names. This eliminates the possibility of throwing off unfair attention in certain areas.

Having all Hunting marks have single-word names would allow PS3 and PS4 players to divert cheating players to a certain area while opening a larger window of opportunity for people legitimately looking in other areas and at the same time throw off people tracking respawn times my making them think an areas mark has already been killed for a certain time period.

On a Hunting related side-note, I also have a question as to wheither it is considered a reportable offence if a large party shows up late to a hunt that has been anounced and uses healers or tanks to pull aggro off of the person fighting it and run away to reset the enemies HP and claim full credit for the kill.

If they want credit, I believe they should help whoever found it kill it. Resetting it and possibly taking full credit from the person that finds it seems very unsportsmanlike. Is it considered a reportable form of harassment?

Well that's good to know. I've hated my chocobos name since i made it. Thought i was stuck with it this whole time. Well at least i learned something today.

How do you rename your chocobo?

You go to uldah to the area directly infront of the adventurers guild and you will see the guy who first gave you the quest to aquire your choco. I forget his name.

Oops yes the area where your GC is. Lol mine is in uldah so that's what I recalled.

Actually none of these are tied to Grand Companies and you can use any of the three to rename your chocobo.

Since I derailed the thread I'll go back on topic. Thats actually pretty funny. It would be entertaining to name your chocobo Naul then summon it in Coerthas and watch the horde come running. Not that I would do that, but to see someone else would be funny.

Yea, that's pretty clever. Kudos to the OP. Next job would be to take a screenshot of everyone that shows up and report them xD
