Free Weekend just in time to hear the hunt chats

Does anyone else find it absolutely hilarious that they tossed out this half-assed hunt system just in time for the folks logging into the Free Weekend? It's an event that is supposed to entice folks to come back to the game, but I'm not sure how well that will work out when people start yelling and cussing at them for hitting an enemy before the whole server was ready, or being kicked out of groups because they don't have the right add-ons to properly cheat. Instead of showcasing the game, all SE has done is introduce a system that will showcase the douchebags in the game, not good for revitalizing subscriptions.

The free to play weekend is done mainly to tell those ppl that

1) Left the game
2) Ppl looking for a game and considering FFXIV

That the game is still lively and well. Hunts actually does that. They will enjoy a lively game of mass teleportations, zergs running around, and filled chatboxes.

It's not a free to play weekend, you had to have bought the game first so it's only free to those who once had an active sub.

im sure ppl will resub after that weekend , they left because no1 harrased them in shouts! or asked 2-3 linkshells to blacklist them
