Syrcus Tower - Last Boss: How do you handle this mechanic?

I was wondering, specifically about the last boss and the three levitating platforms. What I know is that if you stay inside the circle AOE while the platforms are forming, you take considerable damage.

I've always waited outside the AOE for the platform to form, and then immediately move onto the platform. This allows me to avoid some extra damage, while still getting on the platform in time to avoid his earthquake move.

Yet, last night I was insulted, berated and called something along the lines of a total idiot for doing so.

So, how does everyone else handle this mechanic?

It's because the mechanic is that the more people go in the circle the less damage everyone takes. You being outside the circle - intentionally - makes everyone else take more damage and could even cause people to die.

One player from each alliance team gets targeted with the black circle aoe. That player positions the aoe appropriately while the rest of his/her team stacks in it to share the damage it deals, and then remains in the field it generates so they can levitate and avoid Xande's Ancient Quaga.

Basicly get into cloud ull take some DMG depending on how many are in there but ull avoid ancient quakega which can kill u.

lol every time I see a midlander jump I think they're saying "EEK a mouse!!". Or having a mid-air seizure.
