    Any prize given will add to the flooding of the market regardless of what it is. Giving out something consumable versus something lasting in the game such as gear was a smart move in my opinion.

    It was mentioned before by the dev team that food effects will be displayed as part of the description. Thank the twelve for that! I never understood the purpose of hiding food effects in XI. It certainly didn't stimulate the economy, most the recipes they spent time and money into creating went unused in the game because people didn't understand what to do with it. It wasn't really worth it for the maybe one or two people whom actually found it worth their time to sleuth around and test for what they think they might have felt an increase of, when everyone else just broke into the game files to try to figure it out.

    I was kinda horrified that they seriously thought this a good idea to carry over from XI. Of all the good ideas in XI they ignored, they brought over the bad one. So glad that Yoshi-P decided to go through with this change. It should really open the doors for people wanting to play culinarian and have customers other than the npc vendors. Just hoping it's not too late for the players of the game to feel the need to start using food when probably the majority of players have gone through 50 just fine without.

    On a side note, my character never eats and runs the entire country on foot. No wonder she is so slender!

    When the food effects are no longer rank-based I'll probably be much more likely to eat it. Well, that and the whole "display what it does" thing.
