    Help anyone please

Ok so I have dabbled into crafting a bit but still dont know what in the world im doing lol. A friend said he was able to get a few of his crafting classes to 50 in a matter of hour from lvl 1 with only spending 100k gil or something like that. So my question here is and im sorry if this is a repeat topic I just couldnt find anything anywhere here, but what crafting jobs would be the most profitable and easiest in the long run though from what I hear gaining a profit from crafting is kinda slim. Again sorry if this is a repeat topic and thanks for any help given.

1 hour and 100k does not seem feasible. Cost will vary more than time (just depends upon how much leve turn ins cost at the time). The leves giving the most xp are the courier leves, which involve travel/transportation of goods. I recently pounded out Alchemy 40-50 in one night doing nothing but the mega-potion, which involves 1) teleport to Ul'dah 2) obtain leve from adv. guild 3) teleport to Coerthas 4) run to the northwestern keep to turn in 5) repeat. 40-50 was 21 leves. (1)-(4) is probably 3 minutes with maximum attention and effort, so that's 1 hour from 40-50. I think that's about the best you can hope for. To have done it for less would have probably taken 35+ leves and more gil but potentially less time.

I can make money on almost all crafts. You just have to be patient and willing to focus on volume/spend a lot of time in the cities crafting. Check out the population for each craft on your server.

from 1-50 in a hour or even two is probably not possible. I wont say impossible but if someone does it then wow.

if you knew all the leve turn ins and what you will need and prepped all the items before hand by buying them of mb (which would def cost more than 100k) than just ran around picking up the leves and turning them in you might get through them in 3hrs or so. but then your ignoring all the prep work and so your kidding yourself. it could be done in a day for sure but only if you knew what to do.

most profitable depends on your server but its nearly always goldsmith.

Well im just tired of being broke lol with my 600k so I can be patient lol and im in no way wanting to rush it I know it takes time to make money. The 3 ive spent the most time on is gold smith leather worker and weaver.

your server is probs full of active crafters that it would be hard to make gil at a lower level.

best to be the supplier of mats at low level crafting and then when you have your skills you can just craft for gil if that's your intent.

1 hour is too fast (and 100k too cheap if using most any speed leveling method). I found weaver to be particularly useful both in itself and for leveling other classes faster/ more painlessly. It's been my experience that the first crafting class you level will take you the longest if you do much of the actual crafting yourself. After that it gets progressively easier because you accumulate very useful cross class skills. I like weaver to start with because it provides a very good, if a bit bland, skill -- careful synthesis (I/II). It makes progress 100% likely instead of 90% while effectiveness is dropped to 90% for tier I, but raised to 120% for tier II. This means you can't unexpectedly fail a synthesis due to bad luck. Weaver also makes a lot of it's own gear, as does leather worker.

I like crafting (and gathering) more or less as its own game. You can make a lot of gil if you like, but it's fun even if you don't bother so much (perhaps more so if you're not trying to get rich). I would recommend leveling multiple classes if you're serious about it, as once you hit 50 higher level recipes more or less demand that you have access to most cross class abilities, and while leveling those abilities make it easy to HQ items for leve turn ins/ supply & provisioning/ personal use/ sale. It's also very helpful to level gathering classes with/ before crafting classes for obvious reasons, but it's not necessary and some people don't really like gathering very much.

That is actually what I started doing on my old server was using my myth to supply the maats and other things and actually come out with a lot of gil. My end focus to of course to try and make some profit out of it but also to be able to get my hands on some of the cool crafting things im already seeing ppl have.

Best thing to do is take every class to 15. And the best way to do that is just do every recipe once. The guild shop will always sell what you need to do that. Except for cooking. You have to buy the fish at the Hayline (sp?) which isn't far.

Also some of the things you make will be levequrst items. check with the levemete in town before you dump or sell anything.

Bonus. If you take the crafting armor rewards from the class quests and wear them you will have a fair bit of L1 crafting materia when you get finished.
