I don't know what's exactly happening with the frontline queue. But all those possible answers seems to point to the fact that the PvP system needs to change a lot yet in this game.

This really needs to be addressed instantly. I've been waiting in queues for more than 25 minutes now, either alone or with full party. It does not change the queue time. Frontlines is really amusing and fun. Please SE fix the queue time. You've done a great job making pvp fun. It just needs a couple of tweaks.

That's because WoW was built with PvP in mind (PvP servers, able to flag for PvP on PvE servers, skills balanced around PvP and PvE(supposedly)) and has a comparatively huge PvP community when compared with FF14 that wasn't built with PvP in mind and doesn't have a large PvP community.
Though, I really wouldn't want WoWs PvP community anywhere near this game. Terrible, terrible people.
Having an opinion does not make you right or wrong, it simply means you have an opinion. Don't get irritated when people don't agree.
If Allied seals were a reward for frontlines, I bet more ppl would do it. even over hunts
( ' ')/\(' ' )
After queuing for half an hour, I wanted to pvp again. And guess what? 40 Minutes wait time. To a significant extent, this is really irritating spending more than an hour to barely get two pvp matches. Introducing Allied seals is a win-win solution, not only it will solve pvp average wait time, but also will reduce the nm hunts lag issues, etc.
Does the choice of Grand Company affect this?
I'm in Twin Adders (apparently the GC that is most likely to lose) and despite the DF indicating that the average wait time is ~30m, I usually get in at around the ~5m mark. I've gotten in at the ~10m mark about twice. And then when I get in, I find that half our alliance is empty and they take a while to fill even after the gates open.
All you people getting queue times upwards of 40 minutes: I don't think this is intended behavior. I don't think it's because not enough are queuing. I don't think it's because Frontlines are not popular (they are popular as all hell). I am convinced that it is, in fact, a bug. I just can't imagine some people getting legitimate queues of 30+ minutes in length when I'm sitting there on the same server and GC (read the thread: it's not actually me, but there were people who shared a server AND GC that had a queue gap like this) getting an average queue of 3 minutes. I have literally never had a queue above 8 minutes in length since the patch that enabled group refilling after the match starts.
My point? I don't believe that any amount of reward increase or baiting people into Frontlines will fix this. And I genuinely wonder what the real cause is.
Needs moar instances during peak times!
Which GC are you? Immortal Flame? I think maybe Twin Adders is not as popular as other twos, so we get faster que?
