So, I have heard that there are folks who are using some sort of Widescan program to find the mobs immediately, and even port to them. I got to thinking about the NM sheep Padfoot from XI. As some of you may recall, he had four or five clones that all spawned at the same time. Why on earth can't Naul have, say, 15 clones, all pop at the same time, scattered throughout the zone? It would be sure to screw up any widescan program for sure. Now some of you might be saying, "Hey, wait a minute, if you were quick, in XI one person could group all the Padfoot clones together" well, yes, they could, but the mobs here are on very short leashes. No way a single group could round them all up and burn them at once. So 15 clones, one is the true mark, the others give you crap drops and nothing else. It gives everyone a fair shot (ok, a gamble, but still much better than having to compete with third party software) I do not know much about third party stuff, so no idea if this would fool a program or not. It would ruin things for bots though...just an idea to throw out there to the SE gods. Personally, I care not a whit for the Hunts, and will wait until they can come up with a satisfying fix. If at all.
