Don't be an ... sitting and waiting for hunt/fate to spawn and getting mad it doesn't spawn exactly when you want to. Either do something fun or if you really want the fate to pop up in abandoned area then finish nearby fates, mobs etc to let server understand there is some activity happening in area.

Not everyone has extended periods of time to zerg around whacking open world seal cash cows. Some players are under time constraints (eg. a full time job) or don't have 7 like minded friends who only want to farm The Hunt and do not much else. Putting in the time to wait for the daily FATEs to spawn and killing the other sets of mobs (for a laughable 7 seals per day) is arguably putting in more effort than those who just run from one location to the next throwing a hit or two and cashing in big-time.
If it's fair for SE to throw sands and oil at people for just zerging around, they should also be throwing a bone to people who aren't on the game 24/7 or wish to craft or run roulette/dungeons/primals/Coil..remember those?.

Then surely the last thing you want to do is wait 8 hours for 2 seals. You'll get way more than 2 in one hour of a hunt party. I got about 60 last night in the hour I put in.

I was lucky and got two As, 20 from the first and 12 from the second. The rest was made up of Bs. Could have been better if timing was on my side, two more As popped at the same time and I got neither.

Hunting elites in parties of 8 is the way to go even if you're short on time. Forget dailies.

Thing is, if you're in a Hunting party, then all you're doing is Hunting. You are actively scouring areas for Hunt mobs to kill, and if you're not then you're a leech. In a Hunting party, you are doing nothing but running, and running, and running, and hoping that you find a pop before someone else does, and hoping that if someone ELSE in your party finds a pop you can get to their position before the Horde moves in.

For FATEs, though, you're free to do pretty much anything you want as long as you stay in the same zone. You can craft, gather, do other FATEs for Atmas or Alexandrite. Heck, you don't even have to do stuff IN GAME - waiting on a FATE, you can do housework, read a book, cook food, whatever.

Daily hunts allow you lots of flexibility with how you spend your time waiting for pops. Hunting parties do not, and the way you need to spend your time is anything but fun.

If I didn't want to play the game I wouldn't login. I am 100% against AFK content, waste of electricity and makes me question my subscription. Unfortunately we're getting more and more of it.

And you missed my point. I'm not mad. And I admitted I could have just moved on and done other things. I didn't because, at a certain point, I became genuinely curious as to how long this was going to take, and why in the world would they assign a Daily to a FATE that takes hours to spawn. That makes no sense.

This is the system that they expected us to use to get these seals, but then make it almost worthless to do so. I just don't understand that.
