Expert dungeon armor drop rate experiment(with sad results)

Ok so I have been pretty annoyed with the drop rate of armor in the new dungeons. No I don't expect to just be handed things I'm ok with grinding but come on. So just to make sure I was just unlucky I did a little experiment. I had 4 light party's on 4 different servers run the expert duty roulette 25 times each that way we could cover all the dungeons and not have a biest on any one dungeon. So that's 100 dungeon runs total. Each run nets you 4 chest with 3 potential pieces of armor and 1 accessorie drop in total that's 400 chests open. So out of those 400 chests guess how many held crafting mats 355 of them. We got 45 pieces of gear from 100 runs. That's just sad come on how is it fair to fight our way throught these dungeons for animal fat and water.my best solution is to put the crafting mats in the side chests.What do you guys think am I just being dramatic or is my point a valid one?

I agree the ratio of crafting mats to gear is heavily skewed in these dungeons.

All of the chests in these dungeons have a (hopefully) equal chance to drop 1 of 19 different items. 11 of these 19 items are Crafting Materials and 8 of them are pieces of Gear. The one exception is the "accessory" chest, which can contain one of 17 different items(11 crafting and 6 accessories).

This means that, theoretically, the accessory chest has a 64.7% to drop a crafting material and all of the others have a 57.8% chance to drop a crafting material. Getting 355 out of 400 chests to contain crafting materials is an 88.8% yield of crafting materials. Those numbers don't match.

The sample size seems sufficiently large to theorize that all of the items in each chest do not have an equal chance of dropping each of their items. It might be true that the actual pieces of gear are listed as a lower probability of dropping!

I get a piece of armour almost every expert dungeon run though I actually hope I will get Aqueous wtstone anytime soon. With private chambers and furniture crafting I am much more happy for crafting materials than gear pieces.

This is for me too, with the prices of items needed to unlock Master recipes I am happy I can have a chance to win the items I need from dungeons rather than having to grind seals or pay for them on the MB.

While I don't have exact numbers, I haven't gone through an Expert dungeon yet without any gear drop, and won enough drops to say that it's definitely not as low as in your example.
I'd go as far as to say that the sample size is far from as big as would be necessary to draw any conclusions.

Well, it's all luck bro. I've run daily dungeons every since the patch and on one occasion, did about 10 expert dungeons only to see 5 equipment drops total. It's rough. But I have a friend in the LS who obtained the full tank set in 4 runs. ( 1 daily, and then the 3 dungeons to unlock the expert roulette.)
