Can we get an official roadmap for the coming year-two years planned?

They have said they are going away from roadmaps, instead they will just be working off of like a board of stuff they want to do, and get what they can when they can.

I know Ishgard will be open when the next expansion hits, which is after 2.3

it's possible that they will introduce new classes before the expansion.

Im personally happy just rolling with it for the time being. Think of how much rioting would be on the forum if they had this epic content that changed the MMO genre but didnt release it til 2016, there would be excitement then rage then theres the few that unsub cause stuff theyd look forward to was too far away. Just take in every bit of content as it comes

Something along the lines of new content followed by Hard and/or Extreme Version then Ascian Dimension (Dynamis) version followed by an Alternate Reality (Abyssea) version.

If you take a look at the content of the two major patches we had so far, you get a good idea of what you can expect also in the Future. Old dungeons revamped and now harder, 1-2 complete new dungeons, updates for Coil turns and CT with each second major patch. New beast tribes and from time to time features you did not expect like the Agenda that came with patch 2.2. And of course the inevitable item level upgrades, new tokens, new items etc.

After half a Year you should have a good idea what to expect even without a road map. And I agree on the bitching part..if they release their internal planning - which is nothing more than rough planning - people would discuss a lot if the one or other element from the list is delayed or scratched. It is nice to partially involve players in the Future plans but players tend to see such plans as written in stone, which they aren't. Sometimes less is more.
