These issues aren't lag-related. Had two different people complain about issue a) last night when a black mage came to our outpost and they tried to kill him. Nothing worked. He just stood by the flag and was unable to be hit by anything. When two of his team members arrived, he suddenly went back to normal. No Attunement this time, even though that wasn't the cause before. I can guess at what the hack is from my experience seeing it in FFXI and it's not used commonly (right now), but it's still damaging.

So many people are dismissive about any actual cheating, but I can assure you it is happening. People use third-party tools for hunts, so why do you think PvP would be sacred? It is not lag or anything related to status effects and the sooner we realise this as a community and get rid of it, the better. It should be an equal and fair playground for all, regardless of Grand Company affiliation or server.

Hmm... Interesting. Situation a) happened to me earlier, but I didn't realize it was cheating. I didn't even know people were cheating in frontlines... That's kinda disappointing. > n<

Anyhoo, it sort of happened the same way. White mage was at markets first. She appeared to be floating, and was completely still. I targeted to kill, but couldn't. I received the same error, as if I were asleep, stunned or something else. But I wasn't. I was running around doing my bard thing, and no one else was there to mess with me. I thought it was odd for a few seconds, but then I could hit the mage when everyone else showed up and she started moving.

Honestly, I thought it was some freaky lag... Guess I was wrong. o.o;
