FC Ready Check is toxic

I was in the FC for under a week & I raided with them on Thursday. Two people couldn't raid due to real life reasons on Friday & weren't kicked, as far as I could tell. Saturday, the healer asks me if I can make it on Sunday. I say "maybe" & if I can't I'll inform the FC that I cannot in case they are not online. Since our only way of contacting at this point was the FC Chat apparently. Sunday comes, they're not online, I tell the FC my reasons & I log off immediately. I come back later that night, boom I'm kicked. So there you go. Not playing the victim. I even said earlier on I was okay with it & I didn't feel like a goof fit. It wasn't until today when the Linkshell & my friend & the FC berating me like I was some horrific human being that I actually got offended enough to make this thread post.

Had they just kicked me & that was it it would've been fine. But they decided to go nuts. So here we are & I'm letting people know in case they get recruited.

As the leader of Ready Check <Focus>, I would like to go over how our free company operates. Within the first two weeks of joining the free company, we reserve the right to ask all new recruits to leave the free company for any reason. We are actually closed for recruitment currently because we felt that our numbers were getting too high, and we don't want to become one of the mega FCs that collapse after a few good months in the game. We were recruiting people who were dedicated to building and maintaining a fun, friendly atmosphere while tackling raids, primals, etc. We don't actually interview people unless it's for a coil group. We have to make sure someone will be a good fit for a group with an opening. We have had so much success using these methods, and we're very excited that we have so many statics working on second coil. I don't see why we're being called "elitist" for discouraging disrespectful behavior.

Moreover, I don't feel like our free company is toxic since we shed ourselves of toxic players regularly. Once a member has been in the free company longer than two weeks, they are promoted and become a permanent part of our community. We have had such positive feedback from our permanent members because we do take this seriously. We like to protect our members from any negative behavior by other players. What is this game worth if the fun has been ruined? Why bother even subscribing if you're just going to have your time monopolized by people who don't care about you? We believe that free companies are an integral part of socializing in this game. Feel free to find a member of Focus and ask them how they feel about us.

Actually I got kicked for basically having a life. Then I was attacked by my healer, who by the way kept dying when we raided so we couldn't even finish T6 but I didn't say anything because we just started but she got really vocal about it & mad. Anyways, I told the FC I was gonna miss this single raid time, which two previous members of the group did as well. They didn't get kicked but I did? What was I supposed to do? I can't personal message them if they're offline so I did the only thing I could which is say I can't make it in FC Chat. People even vouched for me, but apparently that doesn't matter either.

And you clearly don't care about your members, I give notice & apparently it's a screw up & I get kicked?

Then when my friend invites me to a LinkShell for Hunts, which by the way he didn't even know the FC was in because he joined out of the blue, I get immediately kicked & I quote what YOU said about me. "F*** that" you said according to my friend. Then your entire LS goes into full on investigation mode to discover who invited me when my friend didn't even know it was a big deal. I didn't even care that I got kicked, it was the LS event that really set me off. You claim your FC is "friendly" but it's not. You guys are elitists & you seem to fail to grasp that human beings have lives outside of a video game. I was also not even toxic in that raid group for the brief amount of time I was in it anyways. I was helping out as well as me & the other tank had great synergy & I was joking around a lot with them too. It was only the White Mage, who was holding us back anyways, who kept going nuts.

AND you kicked my friend for what exactly? Inviting someone to a LS not even thinking it was a big deal? Not only that but I can vouch that your FC at least to some degree is decent. I'm currently farming Hunts with about 60% of my party being Ready Check members. And they're fine, nobody cares. But it's funny how the FC Leader is toxic themselves, kicks me from the FC when I did everything in my power to do right then goes as far as to expel me from an LS & send his/her lackeys to personal message me to find out who invited me. When I did NOTHING wrong. I literally raided once with that group, then I got kicked a few days later due to real life stuff.

Your FC is toxic, I'm not denying the skill of the players but you sometimes you gotta realize that the person tanking or healing is a human being that does more than spend their lives in a video game. But by all means, continue kicking people without hearing their side of the story & spewing your fakeness. I can't wait to make my own FC so I don't have to deal with the elitists of this community. You guys are ridiculous. I'm an iLV99 Warrior working on Novus & even I feel like that's not enough for some people. Take a chill pill, try to listen to peoples side of the story instead of having brash accusations. Just ridiculous.

Why are you so upset if it's obvious that you weren't a great fit for your group?

No one knows what really happened but you sure are making a big stink about it. Groups don't just kick people for having an unexpected night out. And if they do, the people don't get this miffed when they are.

It doesn't really matter if you're telling the whole truth or not... The impression you've made on people who've read this thread is that you're a drama queen.

Raiding is something I've been doing for almost six years and I can tell you that out of all the people I've met in that time not a damn single one of them liked drama.

Not really being a drama queen, I said I was totally fine with being kicked cause clearly there was some misunderstanding & I just moved on. But when the LS incident happened, I was treated like I did something equivalent to heresy & my friend & I were like, "Why do they hate me so much?" Even then I wasn't too bothered it wasn't till one of those crazy people starts messaging me trying to find out who invited me. They took it too far is all. This thread is just to warn new players or anyone looking for an FC to just reconsider what they wanna do in-game. I'm sure people have had great experiences in this FC, but I for one was treated unjustly & unfairly with no chance of remedy then I was bashed even further, so yeah I made a topic.

Like I said, I'm starting my own FC today ( the lockout is over at 4PM for me ) but this is just a warning sign. The Last Exiles is a great FC if people are looking. Those guys are legit. Thanks.

And I hope my actions here helps to show not only this FC but FC's of all kinds that you should treat people with respect & give them equal opportunities to prove themselves & hear their side of the problem before you make rash assumptions & go as far as to exclude them for massive public events too like Hunting Parties even though you've never actually talked to the person, you only act upon things you've apparently heard about them. I hope this thread shows Ready Check & whomever else to be a little more friendly & maybe you won't get a 1000+ people view count thread exposing your ugly side.

I hope Ready Check does fine in the future, just try not to be d%$#'s to people. If I see you in game, I won't even have animosity towards you. I'm here to play games & have fun, not to be attacked by your lackeys. So if the FC leader of Ready Check is cool with moving past this whole thing, I am too.
