You're missing his point that he doesn't have time to go hunting B rank mobs or A rank mobs due to time constraints. So he wanted a way to obtain seals on his own time via the dailies which at this time is just a waste of time because the rewards are pathetic. And that's exactly what I was saying as well. Unless you are in these link shells doing nothing but waiting for hunt mobs all day it's very difficult to get seals.

When I get home from work I want to do other content in the game that will guarantee me rewards (such as a roulette, Syrcus Tower, beastman dailies)..not sit around waiting for a B/A/S rank to spawn in hopes I get there in time to kill it.

Oh come on. These are EASILY DETECTABLE. I don't think I've ever seen forum goers more willing to take speculation as fact. If people are using teleport hacks they'll be banned. I mean it's the same reason you don't see mining bots doing that anymore. I agree that increased health is a bandaid, but removing gear off the vendor will cause an uproar. You think the forums are a mess now? Just wait until someone who is sitting on 4000 seals finds them "worthless". Though it's really disappointing to see your first point be ZOMG PEOPLE ARE USING TELEPORT HACKS. Those people are going to be easily banned.

The real solution is to just make the stupid sands more common. Removing them is setting off the powder keg early, and doing nothing is just waiting until it explodes.

How can they be easily banned? Some people who lag also look like they are "teleporting" and if I saw someone like that what proof do I have that they are teleport hacking and not actually server disconnecting? And for all I know someone could teleport into some bush near me and then run out and I'd never know that they used this hack because to me it just looks like they ran over normally. And let's say it's not the teleport hacks - there's still the radar users and there is no way to prove they're using it unless you go into Coerthas and name your chocobo "Naul" to literally get them to come over to you.

They need to cap the seals. People getting unlimited sands/oils while Coil and CT remain under lockout is too much. The rewards for doing hunts is too good and is lessening the value of doing the other content.

The complaint isn't that "noobs be getting good gears" but the complaint is that those who can clear coil are getting less reward for their effort. Why even do coil? You can zerg your way to i110 in no time right?
Yes, we were limited to sands and oils, but now i have something to work towards since I can get sands to upgrade my secondary classes. It's better than clear coil and go with the old "okay guys see you next week". This is actually giving raiders stuff to do apart from logging in once a week. Well, sure you can zerg your way to i110 but that would get you a mediocre build, some of us have actually built a BiS we are working to get, and no BiS is only unweathered soldiery gear. Our coil reward is High Allagan gear that non-raiders do not get including an i115 weapon. And yes I couldn't care less what non-raiders are getting or stopped getting, I'm optimizing my gear for my main class which, is also the class I enjoy the most to play and I'm also getting i110 gear for the classes I play from time to time. I'm glad they implemented a new way of getting sands and oils because both, raiders and non-raiders, need them.

I don't even have a problem with the rewards being good, but rather the infinite accessibility of them promoting players to overindulge in what is essentially limited-resource content. There's likely a reasonable amount of hunts to cover plenty of players - but not when there are single players eating a hundred a week.

So yes, a cap on seals is something I could indeed get behind.

No I read your post and can sum it up - I'm complaining because I'm mad I don't get to kill marks.

My response was more of saying hey this thread already exists, and is on the front page -

Band-Aid fix on hunts didn't work - created at 7 am, and on the front page as you made your thread.

Please, go on, this is entertaining.

I bet you're fun to hang out with... Two completely different threads. The one you are referring to simply states his experience whereas this one offers suggestions and insight

they want people to get full ilvl 110 gear in preparation for 2.4 with ilvl 125 or higher gear, giving ppl oil and sand is the first step, the 2nd step is removing the scob weekly lockout with 2.4

you had 3 months time for being the best with ilvl 110 gear, that time is over now and with 2.5 people will cry that getting ilvl 125 stuff is too easy to obtain and so on...

I think a better temp countermeasure would be to stop the hunts all together into a more reasonable solution can be obtained for fixing it. I agree with OP that this is a bandaid and not a very good one at that.
