Other than that it's quite mild and boring, but pretty. Mist is pretty also but I hate all the white when it's really sunny. It's very reminiscent of Valkurm Dunes(the sun glaring off the sand) in FFXI and aint nobodeh wanna be reminded of that hawt mess.
LOL I love how you agree that I'm allowed to have an opinion and then try to say my opinion is wrong. I'll put it this way. I LOVE the bright sunny feel of The Goblet. I love that it has a more subdued beauty to it. It's not right up in your face saying, "LOOK AT ME I'M GORGEOUS!!!!"

The reason I'm not a fan of Lavender Beds is because, to me, it feels dark and moldy.

Like I said though, it's all personal opinion and you're allowed to have whatever opinion you want. But please don't ask them to change my favorite housing area just because our opinions aren't the same.

I still believe the goblet needs a bunch more...can anyone honestly say it's the most crowded ward on their server? Please show me a server where the goblet is the most populated. i'll wait.

Dont remodel it, I dont want to lose the look of the plot I paid for D:

The central area is lovely (I got the spot next to the waterfall, prettiest spot in any of the housing areas I think), the outer areas where you can see down the cliffs look nice. If you arent in view of those spots it kind of loses its charm a bit. I think really they just need to add some more plants and ponds maybe to break it up a bit. They did already but could do with some more.

The Goblet reminds me of the brown and grey you see on military FPS games, so monochrome. I think the reason it's unappealing to some people is that they know they'll never own a beach house for cottage in the magical woods in real life, but anyone can live in the slums in the desert.

The Goblet was voted as the location to build in by the majority of the people in my FC (That actually voted). That was before the scenery upgrade and even after we did tours of the other housing zones. You know what is great about it? One, it looks great. Two, it's not overcrowded. Three, I never get 90k'd like I do in the crowed housing wards in other zones. Never. the first time I stepped foot into Mist was the first time since 2.0 launched that I've been 90k'd. And it was repeatable.

Having an opinion does not make you right or wrong, it simply means you have an opinion. Don't get irritated when people don't agree.

If there is something they should worry about "fixing" with housing that is all the houses bought by 1-man FCs who just couldn't wait for individual housing to come out and got for themselves a limited content that is supposed to be used by a group.

I didn't really mind at first, I thought eventually we'd have the gil for a small house and that all we were missing was aesthetic content. But with the implementation of chocobo rising and gardening all the plots of the new wards were taken before the price would drop even once.

SE screwed it up by releasing FC housing before individual housing, and now smaller, slower FCs like mine are left without a plot to buy.

Not everyone finds nature beautiful. Some people like the quintessence of nature, others like something more modern or exotic. Some people like this:

    And others like this:

It's two whole different styles and clearly not the same. Personally I don't like much of any of the three, but I dislike Lavender Beds the most. Why? Because it's the complete opposite of what would be my design style. Which is something closer to FFVIII's Esthar city, or for who doesn't know, like this:

Tastes vary greatly, and no one can really give the beauty of something as a "given", remember it's always subjective.
