yeah but when your trying to help your LS mates with toto-rak then there's going to be some dying there were other ppl outside of the dungeon complaining about the same thing

well ofcourse, just play wisely or try not to get killed instead.. o_O i know is wishful thinking, but that exactly the point, ppl carefree to die as much as they wanted without a thought of penalty, and once is added you now need to rethink of dying. I hope it stay this way, is perfect for now.. hehe

Oh, well I can't say I've run into that problem yet. I ran it as 35 ARC, with a 25 LNC, a 32(?) CON and one other guy around 30 and we didn't have to suffer any deaths (without raise, remember, it's only without raise that you take a big gear hit).
I think I'd be ok with this if it wasn't so totally punative. Taking gear down to 35% for an unintentional death just isn't right. Maybe a 10-15% reduction for each death. Death is just going to happen in this game, and you won't always be traveling with a mage. Also, there is no reraise as of yet in the game.
I guess I'm just having trouble with some of the 'all or nothing' changes in this game.
- this for one
- MP cost going from ridiculous to ridiculous the other side of the spectrum
- faction leve rewards Horn and Hand - my god has anyone looked at these? Lanolin, hempen bowstrings, undyed canvas, iron ingot. This faction was nearly non-revalent before. What kind of rewards are these for 100/200/300 faction points? At least before there was occasional opportunity at some nice items like tattered robe and vintage jesters. I understand SE is moving emphasis away from leve's, but instead of this, why not just remove them from the game? This is a joke. Leve NM drop rate is also a joke. I've assisted on roughly 15 of these, and 0/15. That's 600 faction points for a liklihood of nothing. This just isn't right, either, but a whole other discussion, I understand.
Incidently, I can repair every stitch of my battle gear, but 45K a pop for an accidental death, is still, imo, way too punative.

From my experience, I've only lost 6-7% on a death on each equipped item. You probably suffered wear on your items if you started at 100%. Some people have also been saying that items degrade faster on use now than before.I think I'd be ok with this if it wasn't so totally punative. It is a 25% reduction upon return. It states this in the patch notes.
Opps. I ignore this...... Reread the patch note. It does not state the gear damage.
25% is hp and mp reduction.

Then it isn't working correctly, because I had to die and return three times from 75% durability before it told me my stuff was broken.
EDIT: I just looked and it only says there is a durability loss, but it doesn't say a specific amount.
