WAR gear and what to wear for T5?

So last night I finally cleared T4 (yAAy!)

Upon looking up info on T5 I found out a new thing called accuracy caps (?!)
Apparently I'm almost 100 points low on accuracy and need to up my gear ASAP.

Is there any guide on what I should aim to get as my gear?
I've been working towards a full Weathered Noct gear but apparently this will not cut it in T5 at all. I made the mistake of assuming things because it was higher ilvl than coil drops.

Also If I need to replace every piece of gear does this mean that I can only get one drop/week in coil? =__= if so this is going to take ages!

Please fashion polices of coil tanking I seek your guidance!

What is da.... WhAAAAAAAAT ? O.O How did you even manage to down T4 with such a low accuracy ?

Or rather, how did you manage to go as low as 40 bonus accuracy with full soldiery gear ? (cap for T5 is 486 as a tank, but 475 does the trick)

    Ok so :
=> first of all : DL ring should change to Weathered Noct ring
=> then buy "hero belt of fending" and "warrior cuirass" with some mythology tomes or allied seals. You'll get to T1 & T2's accuracy cap with a HQ lava toad legs
=> spam T1 and T2 to get allagan choker and earrings (and eventually get allagan cuisses. If not, it doesn't really matter)

Then you'll be over cap for T5 (496 acc at that moment). Switch food for finger sandwich HQ (482 acc) or La Noscean toast HQ (same acc, but less HP/parry) and it will be good. You can upgrade your legs as you want.

For future upgrades, remember to stay over the acc caps for the following Coil turns found here

What does this mean: "=> first of all : DL ring should change to Weathered Noct ring" I should keep the Noct ring?

HQ lava toad legs sounds good because it's probably something I can just buy off the MB (yay).
In the link this makes no sense to me:
    Head - Allagan Helm - Turn 5: +15 acc
Why would they recommend using something for the head that I can only get by killing in that fight? Obviously this slot suggestion is worthless before I'm actually high geared enough to kill Twintania.

Also is Coil gear restricted to only one drop/ week?
The link slot suggestions are almost all coil drops which would mean even a lucky player would need a bare minimum of 6 weeks of preparation for coil!

Also thank you so much for those tips! I'm sorry I had no idea I needed to have that good gear to even enter the previous coil phases! A rookie mistake my apologies!

I just checked your lodestone profile. You have a darklight ring that you should change for a Weathered Noct Ring as soon as possible (if already done, ignore this)

The link provides old BiS gear. Having T5's head allowed to get better equipments on other slots and it was mostly a min/maxing situation if you could farm T5. Think of it as the "best piece to get in order to continue to farm". Not something required to down T5.

Also is Coil gear restricted to only one drop/ week?
Not since patch 2.2. T1-T5 are free to farm like regular dungeons

The link provides old BiS which becomes irrelevant the day you include i100 gear in your slots. Only the accuracy caps are relevant, and it's up to you to determine what YOU want to get in order to improve your ilevel while staying over the cap.

Haha no problem. The accuracy problem was irrelevant before 2.2 because the darklight stuff gave a shitload of accuracy. Now that it's nearly gone (unless heavy luck in dungeons), things are a bit messed up for "new" players in coil.

All in all, the upgrades I gave to you would take a minimum of time to get (unless bad luck on coil drops) and is aimed for a 1-2 weeks duration. If you intend to take more time, check if you can get upgrades of the proposed gear in i100 slots.

I didn't mention it because my way can be done in under 2 weeks. It's not necessarily the best but it allows quick progress

Thank you again so much for the trouble!

I'll start by spamming t1 until the snake separation is just a mundane task!
Also it seems like I have some options on what gear to focus on so if fatigue sets in I can just farm another piece for a while until I reach those accuracy caps.

I'm also a cul50 so I can cook stuff for myself to make me seem less undergeared for these farming attempts.

The easiest way to handle snake separation is to have the MT move the snake he's currently in to the far side while the OT takes the new snake and stands where the MT was. If your DPS stick to the MT's snake, there should be 0 threat problems.

If you are OT, make sure the first snake is marked with a [1] to help you make sure you target the right snake at split. A simple overpower/flash or two and you're good.

I notice you have light armor pieces. The CT set for tanks is horrible for coils. I'm really shocked you were able to down T4 with such low accuracy. I think you'll find coil much, much easier once you reach cap.

Accuracy is so important that it's better to downgrade your gear for an item with accuracy than to equip an upgrade that puts you below cap.

One thing not mentioned is getting a tome from Syrcus Tower and upgrading your weapon to the Weathered Conquerer. It is item level 100 and has 40 accuracy. You need 1300 soldiery to purchase it. The drop counts as your weekly allotment so as you get closer to the soldiery needed make sure you aren't rolling on any other loot for the week.

My favorite way to grab the new snake as OT is to Steel Cyclone it.

Most of the First Turn of Coil tank drops have accuracy on them. It's a good place to go to bump your ACC up. Once you're at the accuracy cap for what you want to do the most important thing is increasing your average ilevel.

Ok I'm up 40 acc points by just suffling what I have.

The thing is I see Weathered Noct Lorica has +2 accuracy compared to the myth counterpart?

Is it still suggested that I buy the myth body instead of the soldiery one?
