MNK is the tits when it comes to ST dps. DRG is close behind. These statements, however, all depend upon the player clickin the buttons. Just being MNK or DRG isn't enough.
Out of curiosity, what's wrong with your BRD? It is my red headed stepchild and is last on all my lists to gear, etc. But he is so damn fun to play ^.^

If you know how to play both jobs and want to be best dps go mnk.
If you want to see insanely high numbers go DRG.
just not liking how low DPS the bard does compared to other dps classes sitting here watching youtube videos of other ranged classes dealing x1-x3 more dmg then my bard at the same level and then seeing how low dmg hit my bard dose dosent make me happy but then again it just might be cuz im still using a piece of crap level 40 bow when im level 48MNK is the tits when it comes to ST dps. Yes DRG spike dmg is NOICE!!!!!
MNK is just solid fekk em up dps.
Yea, weapon could use an upgrade. Even if you went to a GC lvl44 weapon you would notice a difference. Vintage bow, HQ or if you can get it to drop from SV, Verdant short bow. You only have a couple lvl's left so the cheaper option might be the best. GC seals are easy to come across. For when you hit fiddy either get the GC 50 bow or the Longarm's composit. Each time through on a fifty I get two of the base weapon of the Relic quests. One NQ that is melded and ready to go for turn in, and another HQ that I use Until I get a drop from the primal parts of the quest or get the relic itself then convert for a (hopefully) tasty IV materia.
Don't know if it helps or not,

What is better for endgame ? A static with 8 people that complement each other...
There is no bad class in 8-people groups, and every single static requires a bard. It deals high and sustained damage, with the possibility to buff everyone. Dont be sad because you'll never see a crit/bloodforblood Full thrust with 1300dmg, healers/tanks/casters will love you if you play well.

Never see a 1300? I'm currently critting 1500+ easily. What is better for endgame ? A static with 8 people that complement each other...

I wanted to say 'As a bard, you'll never hit for 1300', but the number is not really the point (I stopped gearing my DRG @92). It is well known that DRGs have the attack with the highest potency (330), while BRDs Misery End is not even close to that. But their DPS is overall pretty nice (for a support class)
Looks like the context was that you will never see a B4B Crit Full Thrust as Bard.
To OP. If others of the same level are doing 1-3x more damage than you, than it must be you and not bards issue. Bard is one of the simplest, most mobile and forgiving DDs. If your damage is that bad as bard, then moving to a more complex class will not do you any good.
Suggestion: Get to 50 on Bard. Get some decent gear. Practice your skills in endgame. Then decide.
