    'The Hunt' Improvement Suggestions

Since patch 2.3 came out there has been a lot of drama over the hunts and ,in my honest opinion, the system wasn't implemented very poorly. So I came up with some solutions to the problems with the system.

This is going to be a long post I tried to keep it as brief as possible but I need to also explain why I want these changes and how I feel they'd help. Sorry if this isn't the exactly the write section for this.
    To start off:

    Daily Hunts

The major probelm with daily hunts is that they take to long to earn anything. I did the math and it takes roughly 20 weeks (4.5 months) to earn a 1000 allied seals (AS) body piece, 12 weeks (2.7 months) for any of the 600AS pieces, 10 weeks (2.2 months) for the 500AS minions and one month per blood-spattered log.

That is way to long to earn something that is either a gear upgrade, or vanity. The low amount of AS earned from the daily hunts only feeds the drama that currently surrounds the system because no one wants to wait 20 weeks to get a single piece of vanity. People end up feeling forced into the hunts because they want either the vanity, minions, upgrade, or all of the above.

My solution to the problem is simple: Greatly increase the amount of seals earned from the daily hunts too 450-500 a week so it'd take roughly two weeks to be able to get the body pieces from hunts without having to touch any other hunt related content.

My ideal solution however is the complete removal of 'Daily Hunts' and replacing them with 'Weekly Hunt Allowances' so basically you can do x-amount of hunts each week all in one day if you so choose. This really isn't nessecary but I'd prefer it.

    Weekly Hunts

This is the most broken part of the hunt system. The idea was there but the execution was poor.

The biggest issue is that one mob that you intended to be solo-able is now sought after by the whole server. This leads to the poor thing getting zerged to death before it can so much as get off an auto-attack. As well as the fact that people who need this can't get it if they don't happen to be standing in the exact place is spawns when it spawns.

I thought of two solutions for this:

    1) Remove AS drops from B ranks thus making them undesirable for farming AS and leaving them to the people who require them for their weekly to do. This doesn't prevent people from trolling. I don't know how you'd prevent asides from locking people who have already killed the mob from attacking it. Also, B ranked hunts should have more frequent and less random respawns. E.x. Naul will always spawn at Stone Vigil or at Dhezmal Darkhold.

    2) Make Weekly Hunts like leves. When you accept a Weekly Hunt you (and you party members) are the only ones who can see it. In exchange for exclusivity where and how to spawn them are more vague (you receive hints from the hunt flyer).

    Notorious Monsters

I, personally, am perfectly fine with their implementation. If people wish to farm these then let 'em. For those who don't dailies and weekly should be a good alternative.

    Expanded Content Ideas

These are some ideas I had for expansions on the current system.

For Weekly Hunts: I’d like to see ‘ranked’ hunts like we have now B,A, and S. You can take all these on for 25-50 seals each a week. B can be soloed, A can be done solo but is difficult, S requires at least 1-2 other players/chocobos.

Free Company Hunts: There are just some monsters out there that need a more organized group to take 'em down. These hunts are only available to those in an FC and similar to my priot suggestion they'd be ranked B (8man), A (24man), and S (72man+). They reward seals to all who participate and FC credits. These hunts are exclusive to people in the FC (or possibly people partied with FC members in case they need some more bodies).

A/B ranked hunts would use the leve system also and to even take them on you need to get permission from someone with the authority (unless of course you are the authority) to do so.

S ranks are random which ones and where you get them. You have a time limit (60-90mins) on how long the mob will be spawned and because they require so many people can only be spawned one at a time per zone.
If a FC fails to complete an S-rank before the time runs out they must wait 30mins-60mins before they can retry.

Though this option requires the use of alliances outside of CT.

I do agree that something probably needs to change about these hunts. Especially the ones that die in seconds. Yesterday I did the hunt for Naul and my friend and I found him first. I decided to get everyone in the zone there to engage it so they would get credit. We could have blasted the thing down in a minute if we wished, but instead we tried the friendly nice way everyone says they want people to do.

With 30+ people there (amazing I managed to keep everyone from hitting it till then). The thing died so fast that most people didn't get credit. This was everyone working together to make sure EVERYONE got credit. Didn't work. These things how they are designed right now are meant for the ones that see it first tag it immediately and destroy it. I'm not sure what the intent of the designers was for these things. But as it stands now, there is nothing to facilitate working as a team for these. Its a competition and until they change it, should probably be treated as such.

I'm posting this information here so everyone can see that causing drama serves no purpose.. you can't work together on these. You have to be quick to engage and ensure you or your small group (depending on the rank of the hunt) get the most amount of damage in. This means engaging as soon as possible BEFORE others arrive. It sucks, it probably shouldn't be like this. But its how it works. For now. You need to voice your complaints to SE, not to other people that you think are trolling, or stealing, or hogging. Its a competition. These threats of blacklists and such need to stop.

Just know... for now until they change it.. that you need to be the lucky one(s) to see the mark and kill it asap. If they change it, this will change. But only IF they change it.

I completely support the idea of making the Daily hunts give out more allied seals. I had the idea of when you complete the set of Daily Hunts you get a lump sum in return for doing them all, like 20 or 23, so with the 7 you get from the normal daily mobs and fate bosses, you come out 30 allied seals richer. I also like your idea making the hunts like Leves. It would not only make it to where everyone can do them, but it would definitely cut down the drama all over shout chats.

    Just another idea:
Expand on the Mark Bills. Like regular Marks, add more Elite Marks and place them into categories so players choose only one. If successful, players will receive Allied Seals. Once these have been completed, any further attempts will only reward ToM and ToS. Either have no limit to how many can be completed or reduce the time so these can be accepted multiple times in a day.

For example here, each catogory has a number of different Marks to hunt.

    Catorgory A:
Bloody Mary - Eastern La Noscea
    Kurrea - Mor Dhona
    Nuhn - Western La Noscea
    Ovjang - Central Thanlan
    Stinging Sophie - East Shroud

    Reward: ?? Allied Seals

Players can form parties with others who share the same Marks.
